Principal's Message: Ms. Montes
Comet Families,
We hope you enjoyed a restful and joyful Thanksgiving break with your loved ones. As we return, we enter an exciting and busy three-week stretch before the winter holidays.
We have so many reasons to be thankful this past month. Our Thanksgiving Luncheon was a wonderful success—thank you to our amazing cafeteria staff for preparing a delicious meal and welcoming so many families throughout the day. We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mrs. Cobos, who partnered with local businesses and generous donors to provide more than 30 full Thanksgiving meals to our families. Your kindness and community spirit truly made a difference.
We also celebrated our very first Literacy Night, organized by Ms. Martinez. Thank you to all the teachers who volunteered and to the Irvin Rockets for their special Thanksgiving performance. It was a beautiful event that united our campus and feeder high school as we continue promoting the love of reading. Stay tuned—our next Literacy Night will take place in the spring!
December will be filled with meaningful opportunities for our students to shine. This month, we look forward to the following events:
-
Art Show and GT Expo
-
Winter Music Festival
-
Orchestra Concert
-
4th grade Kids Excel Mid-Year Assembly
We hope you will join us in supporting our students and celebrating their hard work.
As we move through these last few weeks of the semester, we kindly ask for your continued support in sending your child to school every day. Consistent attendance helps us maintain our 95% overall attendance rate and ensures students do not miss valuable learning opportunities.
From our Comet family to yours, we wish you a joyful and peaceful holiday season and a prosperous New Year!
