Soup With Supt
Watson was chosen to go have SOUP with the SUPT! Watson is a hardworking and determined student who approaches challenges with focus and perseverance. He treats everyone with kindness and respect, creating a positive school environment. As a leader in our morning check-in program, he helps students feel welcomed and supported. Watson’s quiet dedication and care for others make him an outstanding and valued member of our community. WTG Watson You ROCK!
Student Council
Creekside Elementary’s Student Council continues to shine as leaders in our school community! These dedicated students play an important role on the MTSS committee, where they review schoolwide data, brainstorm solutions, and help plan meaningful ways to strengthen our school culture.
Beyond leadership and problem‑solving, the council proudly serves our school through a variety of helpful tasks—emptying recycling bins, placing awareness ribbons, stocking the faculty fridge, and more. Each week, they also take to the intercom to keep students and staff informed about upcoming events and celebrations.
At assemblies, our Student Council helps with roll call and introduces special guests, demonstrating confidence and teamwork. We are proud of their commitment to making Creekside a welcoming, well‑run, and caring place for everyone!

Creekside Staff Spotlight
Alli Sandall - 5th/6th SBC Para
Laura Jensen - 3rd Grade Teacher
I began teaching at Creekside 27 years ago when it first opened in 1999, and I’ve loved being part of its story ever since!
I’m the proud mom of two redheads who married their sweethearts and now live out of state—and an even prouder Grammy to five redheaded grandchildren. Including twin toddler boys, and our first granddaughter who is five months old.
When I’m not teaching or enjoying Grammy time, you’ll find me hiking or reading a great book!

Drop-Off / Pick-Up Instructions
**Jr. High Sibling Expectaions**
- Junior high students who have siblings in second grade or younger are welcome to wait in the designated area, as long as they are not causing any disturbances.
- If their sibling is in third grade or older, we ask that they wait on the sidewalk in front of the Creekside sign (not on or at Creekside sign).
- Junior high students without siblings attending Creekside should not loiter on or near the property.
The purpose of these guidelines is to reduce the ongoing rowdiness that has been reported, including skateboarding in front of the building and on steps, as well as loud and disruptive behavior around our building.
We want to recognize that there are several Fairfield students who are being respectful and responsible while waiting for their siblings, and we do not want to impose unnecessarily on them. Our goal is simply to reduce the unnecessary presence and disruptive behavior of those without a reason to be on campus.
Phone/Watch Policy
What to expect with phones and smartwatches
Creekside does not allow students to use personal phones during the school day. If a parent must be contacted, the student needs to receive teacher permission, after which they will use the school phone. Phones and smartwatches must be kept in backpacks.
Creekside Handbook States:
Our electronic device policy remains largely unchanged in elementary schools. However, we do want to send this both to provide additional information and as a reminder so you can prepare appropriately for the school year.
Senate Bill 178 - Devices in Public Schools went into effect July 1, 2025 and prohibits students from using cellphones, smartwatches, or emerging technologies during classroom hours. While establishing a default, the law allows local education agencies (school districts) to create exemptions and craft their own policies.
The Davis School District Board of Education adopted a policy that prohibits electronic devices in elementary school throughout the entire school day. In secondary schools, students will be permitted to access them during passing periods and lunch.
While Creekside has always had a no cellphone policy, the addition of
smartwatches is new. In the past, watches could be worn if they were used strictly to tell but they will now be required to be stored in backpacks during the school day just like cellphones.
The following steps will be taken to help support students who access electronic devices during school hours:
First occurrence - the device will be taken away by the teacher and returned to the student at the end of the day. Parents will be notified.
Second occurrence - the device will be taken away and turned in to the office.
An administrator will meet with the student and return the device to the student at the end of the day. Parents will be notified.
Third and subsequent occurrences - the device will be taken away and turned in to the office. A parent will be required to pick up the device in the office.
Students who have a device listed as an accommodation on a special education or health plan (such as diabetics who use a phone to monitor glucose levels) are exempt from this policy as it pertains to their accommodation.
Parents, please help us by enforcing this at home. Do not allow your child to contact you on their personal device during school hours. Make plans before school starts or contact them on their device AFTER the dismissal bell.
Pet Policy
No Animals allowed on School property
We love your dogs! However, we ask that you please do not bring dogs, or any other animal on school property.
"Privately owned animals are only permitted on school premises with explicit consent from the Executive Director or direct supervisor. Otherwise, it is unlawful to bring domestic animals onto the grounds of any public school, regardless of whether the animal is restrained by a leash, chain, rope, cord, or similar device." -ut.gov
Walk Your Wheels!!
At Creekside we always Walk our Wheels on school property. This protects our walkers from accidentally getting hit by someone on wheels. This applies to EVERYONE!
