Student Email Accounts
Recently, we learned that Google has been shutting down student email accounts that have been identified as sending spam messages. Please keep in mind that student Google email accounts are intended for school use only. All email communications should be directly related to school. Shutting down school accounts creates difficulty for both students and teachers, so appropriate use of student school email accounts is required. We appreciate students using their email accounts appropriately and meeting our expectations.
Thank you,
Ms. McDonough, Mrs. Benbenek and Mr. Lefebvre

Notes From the Library
We wanted to bring to your attention a recent trend we’ve noticed at the school: an increase in middle school students reading and discussing books that contain extremely mature content. Last year, we sent out a notice about the book Icebreaker by Hannah Grace, which has gained popularity among teens through platforms like TikTok, despite being an adult romance novel with very explicit content.
As parents, we understand it can be challenging to navigate book choices, especially with the influence of social media. If you ever have questions or concerns about the appropriateness of a book for your child’s age, we recommend using Common Sense Media (commonsensemedia.org) as a helpful resource. They provide detailed reviews and age ratings for books, movies, and other media.

Art Supply Drive
Aishwarya Vijay, a junior at Hopkinton High School, is running an art supply donation drive in an effort to make art kits for children in need. These kits will be distributed to children at Project Just Because, a local food shelter and charity organization in Hopkinton. Any art supplies in good condition (pencils, crayons, markers, coloring books, erasers, etc.) are welcome!
