Lincoln Lowdown- 6/9/25
Last Week of School!
Woohoo!
Lincoln Families,
As we enter the final week of school, I want to take a moment to thank you for the care, partnership, and trust you’ve shown throughout the year. It has been a meaningful journey, and I feel truly grateful to be part of this community.
Together, we’ve created a school environment where students feel supported, staff feel valued, and families feel connected. That kind of community does not happen by accident. It is built through everyday moments of encouragement, patience, and showing up for one another. I’ve seen that spirit shine at Lincoln all year long.
I am incredibly proud of our students and all they have accomplished. I am equally proud of the collective effort behind their success—the commitment from teachers and staff, and the support from you at home.
Thank you so much! Let's finish strong!

8th Grade Dance
Thank you!
What a joy it was to celebrate our eighth grade students at their dance this week. The energy, laughter, and spirit in the room were a true reflection of the incredible class of 2025. It was a special evening filled with fun, friendship, and memories that will stay with them for years to come.
A heartfelt thank you to our PTSA for bringing this event to life. From the planning and decorations to the music and refreshments, every detail was thoughtfully put together to create a night our students truly deserved. Your time, creativity, and commitment made all the difference.
We are so proud of our eighth graders and all they have accomplished. As they prepare for their next chapter, it is moments like these that remind us how far they have come and how much they have to look forward to.
Worthwhile Life Interviews!
Thank you!
This week, our seventh grade students shared their Worthwhile Life projects through meaningful interviews with members of the Lincoln community. These presentations were thoughtful, personal, and full of insight. It was inspiring to witness the care and curiosity our students brought to each conversation.
These projects are a beautiful reflection of our students’ growth and the strong sense of connection that defines our school. Thank you to all who participated in interviews or supported our students along the way. Your experiences and stories added depth and purpose to their work.
A heartfelt thank you to our seventh grade teachers for organizing this special event. Your guidance, preparation, and belief in your students created a powerful and memorable learning experience.
We are proud of our students and grateful for a community that continues to learn from and uplift one another.

Science Murals
Mrs. O'Brien's science classes have been hard at work combining creativity with environmental awareness. This week, students designed murals that promote environmentally safe practices and healthy lifestyle choices. Their artwork reflects a deep understanding of how science can inspire change and protect our planet. Thank you, Mrs. O'Brien, for guiding our students in making learning both meaningful and impactful!
Obligations
Important Info
Please be aware that your child must be free of school obligations in order to participate in the remaining 8th grade activities. Students MAY NOT be able to attend the dance and WILL NOT be able to attend beach day or the promotion ceremony if these are not cleared including fees associated with lost or damaged Chromebooks.
We highly recommend that you check your child's library account to see if there are any items that need to be returned. This video shows you how -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f9dsECmpDzI
Thank you so much for your attention to this matter and helping your child have a smooth and pleasant end to the school year!
8th Grade Activities Information!
Please read!
8th Grade Promotion – Thursday, June 12th
Due to the size of our 8th grade class, the promotion ceremony will be split into two groups based on your child’s core group. Each student will be allowed to bring 3 guests to the ceremony. Support for These Events With that said, these events cost money. While the Lincoln PTSA commits $10,000 as part of the annual budget, your donations and fundraising are crucial to covering the additional $35,000 required for all 8th grade activities. To fund Golf N’ Stuff and buses for transportation as well as ensure that the dance and promotion committees can start planning, we suggest a donation of $175 per student to be made by February 18, 2025; however, any contribution is greatly appreciated. 100% of the donations will go directly toward the 8th grade class activities.

Cash and Check Donations accepted. Checks can be written to “Lincoln Middle School PTSA”.
