πŸ“£ Families! Here's What's Happening:

Welcome back to school, families! Project KEEP is well underway with full programs at Franklin, Fuller, and Symonds, and a strong start for our newest location: Wheelock! We're so happy to have your children in our care, and we're excited for a great year of fun and enrichment!

This month, staff and students will be getting to know each other and learning the routines and expectations of our afterschool program. As we go through the year your children can look forward to special theme weeks, enriching programming, celebrations, and more!

⭐Staff Spotlight⭐

Hi! I'm Colleen Ross, your Wheelock Project KEEP Program Leader, and I'm thrilled to be part of your child's journey! As a dynamic educator and entrepreneur with years of experience in fostering educational excellence, I bring a passion for creating engaging learning and play environments where every child can thrive. I'm also the founder of 'Be GIFTS' (Boys & Girls Initiating Future Thinking in Science), BabysittingAMPLIFIED! (Childcare Services), and have extensive experience as a classroom teacher (PreK-8) and a substitute teacher (K-12), so I understand how to connect with children at every developmental stage.

Project KEEP Logo Contest

Project KEEP needs some branding! All students are invited to participate in our Project KEEP Logo Contest. Design submissions will be collected on Friday, September 12, and students from all four sites will vote on a design to adopt as our official logo!

πŸ’‘ Reminders πŸ’‘ Reminders

1. IMPORTANT DATES πŸ“†

  • Thursday, September 18 is an Early Release Day. There will be no Project KEEP on this day.

  • Please remember that if you are making monthly payments for Project KEEP, payments are due on the 1st of each month. Any payments received after the 10th of the month will incur a $25 late fee.

2. ASK YOUR CHILD ABOUT ❓

Please ask your child about our Project KEEP expectations and rules. We've talked about being respectful, responsible, safe, and kind at every site. Our expectation is that students will follow the rules at all times so we can have fun while being safe and respectful of others. More information about our Behavior Policy can be found in the Parent/Guardian Handbook.

3. RESOURCES πŸ€—

Here is a link to our 2025-2026 Parent/Guardian Handbook.

Know a prospective Project KEEP family? We currently have openings for more students at Wheelock, and waitlist spots available at Symonds, Fuller, and Franklin. Once we have a full waitlist of 15 students, we can open up a new section of PK at that site. Please spread the word!
