Attendance/Dismissal Gentle Reminder from our new Administrative Assistant!
Dear Families,
I am so delighted to be working at the Davis School and getting to meet each of your children.
May I ask that when communicating an absence or dismissal that you include the following information:
Full name of your student
Teacher's name
Teacher's room number
This would help me immensely and support my getting up to speed much more efficiently. Thank you!

Lost and Found
Our Lost and Found, which is located right by our front doors, is getting quite full! If your student is missing anything, please feel free to stop by to check it out by November 10th. After that date, all items will be donated to a local charity. It would be great for these items to make their way back to their owners!
News from Bedford Health Department (New!)
The Town of Bedford would like to remind residents that during the Federal shutdown leading to a likely pause in SNAP benefits the Bedford Food Bank will continue to operate its 3 core services:
· Drive-through Food Bank – Thursdays, 3:30 – 5:30 pm behind the Town Center (Yellow) Building, 12 Mudge Way, Bedford- no preregistration necessary
· Home delivery program for homebound and disabled Bedford residents – call 781-275-7727
· Self-service locker program - guests who cannot attend the drive-through program can come to the Town Center and retrieve their distribution at their convenience - call 781-275-7727
We understand that a prolonged shutdown may increase the number of neighbors seeking free, healthy food, and we are committed to supporting them.
Our mission remains constant: To provide nutritious food and personal items with dignity, supporting the health and well-being of every household. The Bedford Food Bank (BFB) motto is “Sharing Good Food.” The Bedford Food Bank is here for our community, and our work continues. If you need to find a food pantry near you, outside of the 3 offerings above, please visit: https://www.vivery.org/find-food/#food-finder-map.
If you’d like to support the good work of the Bedford Food Bank during this challenging time, please consider making a tax-deductible donation. Checks can be made out to: The Town of Bedford, c/o Bedford Health Department, 12 Mudge Way, Bedford, MA 01730 or you can make a donation via credit card by navigating to https://unipaygold.unibank.com/CustomerInfo.aspx?Customerid=2791

News from Nurse Jen (New!)
Dear Parents,
Statistics show that in elementary schools 3-5 % of students have lice at any given time. Please keep in mind, head lice are not dangerous and do not carry disease; however, it can be stressful for parents and cause a lot of anxiety when having to deal with head lice. The key to the prevention/detection and management of head lice is to screen regularly and keep a good quality metal nit comb on hand. Please take the time to screen your child on a regular basis and treat only if you find lice in the hair. The best way to screen your child is to follow the instructions found on our nurse website.
