LISD Families,

As we head into the final nine weeks of the school year, there is so much to celebrate across Lewisville ISD. This time of year always brings a special energy to our campuses as students, teachers and staff work toward the finish line while also enjoying many of the traditions and milestones that make spring such a meaningful time in our schools.

This month we are proud to recognize many of the outstanding individuals who make LISD such a special place. Our Teacher of the Year and Employee of the Year finalists have recently been announced, and we look forward to celebrating these incredible educators and staff members who go above and beyond for students every day. Their dedication and commitment truly represent the very best of our district.

We will also celebrate Thank a Teacher Week beginning March 23, a special opportunity for our community to pause and recognize the incredible impact educators have on the lives of students. Our Thank a Teacher submissions come directly from students, making these messages especially meaningful to the teachers who receive them. In addition, community members can use our Recognize Someone program to highlight staff members who have made a difference. A simple note of appreciation or word of encouragement can mean so much to those who dedicate their lives to serving students.

While we celebrate the present, we are also planning for the future. This spring we are beginning the next phase of work on our Long Range Plan. Over the past three years, this plan has helped guide important initiatives and progress across LISD. Over the remainder of the school year and into the summer months, we will be reflecting on that progress and working with our teams to prepare for the launch of the next phase.

Thank you for the partnership and support you show our schools throughout the year. As we celebrate the accomplishments of this spring and look ahead to what’s next, we are proud to continue showing our community why so many families Choose LISD.
