MCAS Family Portal: Now Open to Families
August 14, 2026
Dear Natick Public Schools Families,
The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) has launched the new MCAS Family Portal, where families can securely view their child's preliminary 2026 MCAS results using a registration code provided by their district.
The Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System (MCAS) is the state's assessment program that measures how well students are meeting the Massachusetts learning standards. Students begin taking MCAS assessments in Grade 3 and continue testing in select subjects through middle and high school. MCAS scores are one measure of a student's academic progress and are intended to help families and teachers identify strengths and areas where additional support may be helpful.
Pedro Martinez, the Commissioner of Education for the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education issued a letter around this portal and initiative that you can view HERE.
The MCAS Family Portal is now open. This online tool gives you direct access to your child’s MCAS assessment results from any device.
What Scores Will Be Available and When
August 14, 2026: Your child’s preliminary English Language Arts (ELA), Math, Science and Civic scores from the Spring 2026 assessment will be posted. If available, you will also see your child’s results from past years (2023–2025).
September 2026 (date TBD): The Family Portal will be updated with official final results, including Student Growth Percentiles.
Assessments by grade level:
Grades 3–8: ELA and Math
Grades 5 and 8: Science
Grade 8: Civics
Grade 9: Physics
Grade 10: ELA and Math
Please note: Scores available for 2026 are preliminary (not final). Official scores with Student Growth Percentiles will be available in late September 2026.
How to Get Started
To create your account, go to:
https://mcasfamilyportal.emetric.net
You will need two things to create your account:
Your child’s registration code
Your child’s date of birth
Where to Find Your Registration Code:
Your child’s registration code is available through the PowerSchool Parent Portal. Please log in to PowerSchool and click on the Demographic Info tab.
For steps to access PowerSchool Parent Portal, click MCAS Registration code in PowerSchool Parent Portal
If you have more than one child, you will need to retrieve a separate registration code for each child.
Managing Your Account
Once your account is set up, you will not need to create a new account each year.
You can add additional children to your account at any time using each child’s individual registration code and date of birth.
Up to three (3) parents or guardians may have access to a single child’s account.

DESE has created helpful guides to walk you through the portal including:
MCAS Family Portal Help Guide (step-by-step instructions for creating an account, adding your student, and viewing results)
Both guides are available at www.doe.mass.edu/mcas/family-portal.
