Note from Our Leader Note from Our Leader

Welcome to October and the wonderful fall season! As the leaves change and the weather cools down, our classrooms are fully settled into rich learning routines and exciting school activities.

October is a busy and joyful month. We encourage all families to stay connected with our school community by attending upcoming events, supporting student learning at home, and reaching out to our dedicated teachers with any questions. Thank you for partnering with us to make this school year a success!

Compass Programs is proud to recognize Donvieh. Since joining the Compass Online Program, Donvieh has distinguished herself as a remarkably dedicated and driven learner. Day in and day out, she shows up with an impressive level of focus and active engagement, consistently taking ownership of her education.

Donvieh leads by example in our digital learning environment. Her reliability, quiet strength, and positive work ethic sets a wonderful standard for what it means to be a successful online student.

Looking toward the future, Donvieh has clear and exciting ambitions. She is pursuing her passion for technology with the goal of becoming an IT specialist, and wants to one day move to the Netherlands. Given her work ethic, sharp focus, and determination, there is no doubt she has a bright, international future ahead.

Thank you, Donvieh, for being such a bright light in our Online Program and for setting such an inspiring example for everyone around you.

Keaire is being recognized this week for his outstanding dedication, hard work, and incredible growth! Teachers have noticed that across his classes especially - Math, Social Studies and ELA - he is putting maximum effort into engaging and learning. Keaire stands out by asking fantastic, insightful questions and deeply engaging with the content. He actively participates in every single part of the lesson.

What really makes Keaire stand out is his resilience; even when the work gets tough or frustrating, he pushes right through it with admirable determination. Compared to last spring, Keaire has shown immense growth both as a student and a peer, and his classrooms are brighter because of his hard work! He has started the school year strong and continues to build meaningful, positive relationships with his classmates and teachers. We are proud of the progress he’s made and excited to see all he will accomplish.

Social Work Corner Social Work Corner

While most people are enjoying the cooler fall days with walks in the woods and campfires, the school social work team is thinking one season ahead... winter needs! Compass has a small collection of winter hats, mittens, scarves, and coats if your student needs one. We also manage the holiday gift programs- some are self-refer, some are district staff refer, and some are only offered through our school social workers. Reach out if you have any questions or want to be added to the list of families with needs. It's not too early to start planning for the upcoming holidays~
