A Message from Mrs. Mullins
This week, although a short week, is our first week of following our full-remote learning schedule. We know that this round of full-remote learning brings about its own challenges, that are different from the challenges from the spring, and we appreciate the continued support. From the start, this has been a team effort, and it continues to be. But let's take a moment to recognize that it is hard. Some days are easier than others, but it is hard. But, we do hard things for our kids, and we will can do this.
I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. I am very thankful for the Hunter community, for the team work, and for the positivity. This is not an easy time, but there is much to be thankful for.
Happy Thanksgiving!
My Best,
Jenna Mullins

To participate, you need to run, run/walk, or walk your distance and then share with me a picture of your time and distance on some type of exercise app or a picture of the treadmill readout, as well as a picture of YOU after completing the distance. Runkeeper, Runtastic, Nike Run Club, Strava, Apple Watch, Fitbit and Map My Run are just some ideas of run tracking apps. You can submit your pictures through Schoology or SeeSaw where I will post the Virtual Turkey Trot as an optional assignment.
You may complete your Turkey Trot any time from now until Nov. 29th. Please make sure to submit your results so I can reward you with a fun certificate for completing this challenge! Young Fives, Kindergarten, 1st Grade and 2nd Grade will be expected to complete 1 mile, while 3rd Grade, 4th Grade and 5th Grade should do 2 miles.
I know this is not what we are used to, but I am looking forward to seeing all of your results if you choose to participate! I will compile the pictures in a fun format to share with our Hunter family, too! If you have any questions, please email, our gym teacher, Mrs. Kozicki at kozickc@gibdist.net.
