November 17-30, 2024

Good morning Cannon families,

What a wonderful week for our Cannon Cubs! Sky Ranch is filled with learning and fun, and our 5th graders had a blast at camp! An enormous thank you to all of our 5th grade parent chaperones and teachers for your help, support, and facilitation to make this field trip adventure a HUGE success!

Our second graders also performed in honor of our Veterans! Their performance was a tribute to our amazing service men and woman for their dedication, sacrifice, and service for "the home of the brave and land of the free!"

We are also Cannon PROUD of two of our Cubs for representing Cannon at the GMS Veterans Tribute!

These are just a few more examples of our Cannon Cubs implementing our four core STEM pillars - Curriculum, Culture, Community, and College, Career, Military Readiness (CCMR). We are Cannon PROUD!

We are very grateful to the Colleyville and Grapevine Rotary Club Foundation for their annual distribution of dictionaries to our third graders!

Thank you for your partnership to grow literacy rich scholars!

Congratulations to our second and third grade STEM Habit of Mind Hall of Fame Inductees for Thoughtful Planning! STEM teaching and learning is an instructional approach to learning and development that integrates the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Through STEM education practices, students develop key skills including: problem solving, creativity, and critical analysis. We are PROUD to honor our scholars for exhibiting STEM thinking, and we can't wait to celebrate our next group of inductees this Thursday.
