🌟Highlights from this week
Mrs. Berry has been selected as the May recipient of the Mustang Spirit Award.
Mrs. Berry is a true leader at Mora Elementary. Her extensive knowledge of reading interventions has been instrumental in helping our students reach new levels of literacy. Beyond her work with students, she goes above and beyond to ensure our staff is well-trained and that all aspects of our reading programs are running seamlessly.
Congratulations, Ms. Berry, and thank you for everything you do for our school community!

📣Weekly Announcements
Dear Families,
As we work together to keep our afternoon pick-up running smoothly, we want to share a quick reminder regarding our parking lot etiquette.
We have noticed an increase in vehicles parking in designated handicap spots while waiting for students. While we understand that the pick-up line can be long, these spaces must remain open for our students, family members, and visitors who have a legal permit and a physical need for proximity to the building.
Please remember:
Handicap spots are reserved 24/7, including during peak pick-up and drop-off times.
Parking in these spots without a permit—even if you remain in your vehicle—prevents those who truly need them from accessing the school safely.
Thank you for helping us model kindness and accessibility for our students!

🩹Health Office
As we begin planning for the 2026–2027 school year, we want to remind families of several important health requirements:
Immunizations: Incoming Kindergarteners and 7th graders must have updated immunizations on file. Letters were sent this spring to families of incoming 7th graders; letters for incoming seniors will be sent in May. Immunization records or notarized exemption forms must be submitted before the first day of school in September 2026 to avoid exclusion.
Sports Physicals 7th-12th grade: School Student-athletes must have a current sports physical on file with the district (required every three years) in order to participate in school sports. Welia Health is offering free sports physicals this summer:
