Destinations Career Academy of WI

Here at Destinations Career Academy, we are entering the final stretch of the first semester! Please remember that the first semester ends on January 20th, and the second semester will begin on January 21st.
Additionally, there will be NO SCHOOL from December 22nd through January 2nd. School will resume on Monday, January 5, 2026.
Exciting things are happening at DCA right now! You may notice your student receiving engaging hands-on activities by mail. Many of our courses include creative activities and projects that combine content knowledge with practical, career-relevant skills.
As the end of the semester approaches, we encourage all families to take a moment to check in with their student about the specific grading requirements in each class. Every course may have different expectations and assignment weights, which can affect overall progress. Please have your student review their course syllabi to help ensure they meet course expectations, as what you see in Canvas may not reflect the Competency-Based Grading system we use.
Finally, our very own NTHS Members helped develop parts of this month's Newsletter - check it out!
From our family to yours, we wish you a wonderful winter break and a joyful holiday season!
Best regards,
Jen Wegner
Principal

Course Selection School Year 2026-2027
It’s hard to believe that we’ll be selecting courses for the 2026–27 school year after break! It is important that students attend classes on January 13, 2026, as we will be discussing the course selection process. After learning about the available course options, students will meet with their homeroom teacher to finalize their selections. Take time to chat with your student about classes they would like to take next year!
