A message from Dr. Moore

Dear Parents and Guardians,

What a great September it was! I will highlight activities from September and go over upcoming activities in October below. Thank you for your continued support of our school. It was great to see so many come out to our Qdoba fundraiser. When I walk through our school, art work has begun to take over the hallways. Students are greeted with a smile every morning by staff. Laughter can be heard through the hallways, in the gym, and in our cafeteria. This is a great place to be!

Grandparent's Day

We made a change this year to Grandparent's Day, and we believe it went very well. Our teachers enjoyed planning an activity with the students and Grandparents. The transition to the book fair went quite smoothly. The book fair raised over $9000 just on Grandparent's Day alone.

1st Grade Family Engagement Night

This year's 1st Grade Family Engagement Night was well-attended. The hot dog dinner combined with cookies and yard games made for a great event!

Back to School Bash

Thank you to PTO for putting on another fun event for our school community. Food trucks, face painting, bouncy house, and a foam party ruled the night!

Panther Families

Our first panther families went great! Students participated in an assembly where they heard about the importance of perseverance. After breaking off into their families, students ate lunch together and did an activity that represented each child's uniqueness.

Halloween Parade

On October 31st @ 1:45pm, we will have a Halloween parade around the elementary school followed by class parties. Students will bring their costumes to school and then change into them after lunch.

4th Grade Field Trip

4th grade will take a field trip to Gary's Berries on Oct. 22nd. Thank you to PTO helping make this field trip happen!

Parent Teacher Conferences

Be on the lookout for an alert! We will be using signup genius this year for Parent Teacher Conferences. We value your attendance at conferences. Open communication between our teachers and you help foster growth academically and socially.

Weather/Dress Code

While it has not happened yet, we do anticipate it starting to get quite a bit cooler in the next few weeks. We will be asking students to abide by our dress code in the student handbook: Students (K-4) may wear shorts to school during the warmer months of the school year, when the temperatures are above 70 degrees

Lost and Found

We have a lot of clothes hanging up in our lost and found area. Please feel free to stop by and look through the collection to see if your child may have left something here at school.

Sincerely,

Dr. Justin Moore
