The health office has recently sent notices to families for any student that is not up to date with immunizations, or if their immunization record has not been received. If you have received this notice in the mail, the final date for compliance is February 16th. If documentation of up-to-date immunizations is not received by that date, your student will not be able to attend school per state law.

Please contact the health office to discuss or to provide immunization records. You may contact the health office via email satec_health@maplerun.org or records can be faxed to 802-713-4886. Thank you!

Middle School Volleyball is back!

Grades 5/6 will have an introduction to Volleyball beginning in early February and ending in Early March.

Grades 7 and 8 will begin their season late February and conclude in early April.

We will be sharing a more specific schedule in the coming weeks (once we have an idea of the number of students signed up).

We are beginning to prepare for the upcoming Baseball and Softball Season. Practices will begin the end of March and the season will wrap up the first week in June.

These teams are open to students in 7th and 8th Grade. Our team configurations will depend on the number of enrolled students. Interested students are expected to have a basic understanding of the game and an ability to catch and throw a ball. Coaches will provide and opportunity for students to further develop their knowledge and skills throughout the season.

Sign up and join us for Tuesday Morning Boost!

Sarah Biggie and Leah Eldridge are excited to collaborate and offer a Morning Boost Group that meets on Tuesdays from 7:45–8:15 a.m., before the start of the school day.

This group is designed to provide the students a positive and engaging start to their day through play, connection, and mindfulness activities. The purpose is to create a welcoming space where students can ease into the morning, build meaningful relationships, and strengthen their sense of belonging within the school community.

We hope that participating in Morning Boost will help students start their day feeling grounded, energized, and connected, setting a positive tone that they will carry with them into their classrooms and beyond.

We will be publishing a weekly registration through arbiter. Space is limited to 20 students

If your student has a new injury or a new medical condition that may impact their school day, please reach out to your school Nurse to discuss. This will ensure that any treatments, restrictions, or complications can be managed effectively while your child is at school.

As we move further into our winter sports season, we are incredibly grateful for the energy and passion you bring to every game. Our student-athletes thrive when they feel the support of their community. To ensure we continue to provide the best possible environment for our players, we would like to share a few important reminders regarding spectator behavior and sportsmanship.

To ensure a positive environment for our students, please keep the following expectations in mind:

• Positive Cheering Only: We encourage loud and passionate support for our players, provided it remains respectful and positive.

• Respect the Officials: There is a critical shortage of officials across the state. Please refrain from criticizing or yelling at them so we can continue to staff our games.

• Let Coaches Coach: Spectators should avoid "coaching from the stands." If questions regarding officiating arise, our coaches will handle them through the proper channels during the game.

• Game Stoppage Policy: Please be aware that officials have the authority to stop or suspend a game if they encounter negative spectator interactions.

Thank you for helping us set a high standard for our students and representing SATEC with sportsmanship and pride.

8th Boys and Girls are now playing home vs. Berkshire. Boys at 5:30 and Girls at 6:30

Tuesday, January 6th

5th Boys are off

7th Girls are practicing from 3:15-4:45

5/6 Girls are practicing from 4:45-6:00

Wednesday, January 7th

8 Girls Practice Cancelled

Thursday, January 8th

7 Boys Time Change - Practice is now 6:45-7:45

Friday, January 9th

7th Girls Away at Sheldon - Time Change - Game is at 5:30

7th Boys Away at Sheldon - Time Change - Game is at 6:30

We are excited to jump back into things. We will resume practices next week (January 5th) on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM.
As we kick off January, we are beginning serious preparations for a potential competition in February. Because of this, attendance at all practices is crucial.
Consistency is key right now for athletes to learn complex routines and feel confident in their roles. This is especially important as we plan to incorporate more lifts, which require precise teamwork and consistent practice for everyone's safety and success.
If your athlete is unable to attend a practice, please communicate this ahead of time by emailing either Coach Brianne (bking@maplerun.org) or me (jtherrien@maplerun.org).

We wanted to take a moment to let families know that attendance can be reported to Michelle Dow by calling 752-2600 or by email at satec-attendance@maplerun.org should your child be out sick, coming in late from an appointment or for other attendance questions that you may have.

We'd also like to remind families that when sending in notes to school to please include both first and last name of your child and the name of their homeroom teacher.
