SUPERINTENDENT'S MESSAGE
A Time to Celebrate Student Success
As we enter the month of May, our campuses are buzzing with the energy that only the final weeks of the school year can bring. With spring in full swing, that early momentum has become a fast-paced countdown. Students are immersed in final projects, capstone performances, and high-stakes competitions, each one reflecting years of dedication and hard work.
Demonstrating Excellence
This season also marks important academic milestones. Students are engaged in CAASPP testing, showcasing the skills they have built throughout the year, while many are preparing for Advanced Placement (AP) exams, demonstrating mastery of rigorous, college-level coursework. We are proud of the focus and determination they continue to show.
For the Class of 2026, the finish line is no longer just around the corner. It is now clearly in sight.
Mapping the Future
Across OUHSD, seniors are finalizing plans for what comes next. Their paths reflect both ambition and perseverance:
- Higher Education: Many are submitting intent-to-enroll forms to Chico State, CSU and UC campuses, and Butte College.
- Professional Pathways: Others are entering apprenticeships, trade programs, or the workforce.
- Service: Some are preparing to serve our country through military service.
Congratulations on Your Transition
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to our seniors as they prepare for this next chapter. While this transition can feel stressful, it is also an exciting opportunity to grow, explore new interests, and expand your experiences. Every pathway represents meaningful success, and our mission remains clear: to ensure every graduate leaves with the confidence and skills needed to thrive.
Excellence in Action
Throughout the year, we have seen our Portrait of a Graduate come to life, from critical thinking in CTE programs to resilience on athletic fields and performing arts stages. The Class of 2026 has proven they are ready for what comes next.
A Community Effort
As we enter this final stretch, I extend sincere gratitude to our educators, support staff, families, and community partners. Student success is a shared accomplishment, built on your continued support and commitment.
Graduation season is no longer a distant date. It is here. We are incredibly proud of the Class of 2026 and look forward to celebrating their achievements at our upcoming commencement ceremonies.
Sincerely,
Superintendent Williams

Celebrating the People Who Keep Our Schools Moving
Oroville Union High School District is proud to recognize the many dedicated professionals who keep our schools running smoothly each day. While the month of April provided an opportunity to highlight our Transportation team and Administrative Professionals, this final newsletter of the school year gives us a chance to celebrate all of our incredible staff.
Our bus drivers and transportation staff are truly the “Driving Force Behind Our Students’ Future.” Starting early each morning, they ensure students arrive safely and ready to learn. More than drivers, they are friendly first faces and a vital link between home and school.
At the same time, our administrative professionals keep our campuses running with care and efficiency. They manage countless details, support students and staff, and create welcoming, organized environments every day.
We also recognize our outstanding teachers, counselors, and social workers, who guide, support, and inspire students academically, socially, and emotionally. Their impact reaches far beyond the classroom, helping shape confident, capable young people.
Our nutrition services team plays an equally vital role, ensuring students are nourished and ready to learn each day. Their care and consistency make a meaningful difference in the well-being of our school community.
Beyond these roles, we extend our appreciation to every member of our OUHSD team; classified staff, maintenance and operations, paraprofessionals, site and district leaders, and all those who work behind the scenes. Each of you plays a vital part in supporting our students and strengthening our school community.
Together, your dedication, professionalism, and commitment make a lasting difference in the lives of our students.
Thank you for all that you do. You are truly appreciated.
