9/17/2021: Growing Our Community
This week started with the gift of our butterflies emerging from their chrysalis's and the joy of students releasing them outside. We are enjoying seeing a similarly transformative process occur as our students grow into their best selves a little more here each day.
We started outdoor lunches this week when the weather cooperated, and the students did an excellent job. Looking forward to enjoying more outdoor lunch with beautiful fall weather ahead. If you can help out between 10:20 - 2:00 on a weekday, please fill out this form!
Next week -- a full 5 day week! -- we have a few events to highlight:
- Thursday is Food Truck Night!
- Friday is Spirit Wear day
- 4th and 5th grade will be taking the MSDE mandated Early Fall Assessment
- Student Handbook Talks are in process -- please return the acknowledgement form when it comes home to you
In partnership for our students,

Outdoor lunch is even better with a good read

Instruction During Health Exclusions
- The school will communicate access to learning, including technology and materials needed (devices should be coming home with students each day)
- Students will receive asynchronous work to complete through Schoology OR they will receive paper/pencil work to complete during the school day (this is based on what teachers provide, not family choice)
- Supplemental learning will be provided. Students will have the opportunity to work with a BCPS teacher tutor outside of school hours.
- A schedule for access to tutoring services will be provided to families. Tutoring will take place through Google Meets.
