August 6: Middle School and High School Meet the Teacher
August 10: Elementary and Intermediate Meet the Teacher
August 12: First Day of School
August 17: Hometown Gathering, Meet the Foxes, Senior Citizen's Dinner
*As we get closer to the new school year, additional dates will be added and shared on all communication outlets for the district.
Student Enrollment
Returning student and new student enrollment must be completed online in order to have a schedule or a teacher assigned. Completing enrollment for a returning student provides updated student and guardian information. Proof of residency is required yearly.

Child Nutrition Updates
Free and Reduced-Priced Meal Applications
CMISD Child Nutrition Department will be accepting applications for the Free and Reduced Meal Program starting August 1, 2026. Families may apply online through SchoolCafé. Paper applications will also be available in each campus' front office.
Students who received free or reduced-priced meals during the 2025 - 2026 school year will continue receiving the same benefits for the first 30 serving days of the 2026- 2027 school year. To avoid a lapse in benefits, families should submit a new application by September 24, 2026.
Families do not need to complete an application if their student qualifies through direct certification, including SNAP, TANF, or certain Medicaid programs. Families of directly certified students will receive an email before August 1, 2026.
Adding Funds to a Student Meal Account
Families may add fun funds to their students meal account through SchoolCafé at any time.
AlphaBEST Education
AlphaBEST Education is available for after-school care at elementary campuses during the 2026 - 2027 school year. This is open to grades PK-4 daily after school.
