Student Spotlights
Check out some of Titans and their accomplishments!
Our Center Stage Show Choir did a fantastic job spreading some Holiday Cheer for the Brook Park Seniors Club and the Berea Kiwanis this week!
We are thrilled to congratulate Berea-Midpark High School band student Anthony Sessin, III, on his outstanding performance with the Ohio Band Directors Conference (OBDC) Honor Band.
Anthony successfully auditioned for a seat in this prestigious ensemble, joining top student musicians from across the state of Ohio. The performance took place on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the University of Akron Student Union.
The ensemble was led by the distinguished Dr. Terry Austin, Director of Bands Emeritus at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. Being selected for this group is a testament to Anthony’s dedication, musical talent, and hard work. Congratulations, Anthony, on this impressive achievement!
Students from the Berea-Midpark Titan Marching Band performed alongside the Baldwin Wallace University Marching Band at Saturday’s Jack Frost Parade.
Thank you to BW for their partnership in being a part of this great community event!
Berea-Midpark High School celebrated outstanding students and staff at the first Be a Titan recognition of the school year last month. The district honored Avery Billman, Elizabeth Chen, Cameron Pawlowski, and Jonah Riberdy for earning National Merit Commended Student status through the College Board. Their academic achievement places them among the top students nationwide and reflects their dedication, perseverance, and commitment to excellence.
The district also recognized Carrie Rice, who exemplifies what it means to “Be a Titan.” As the instructional chairperson for the BMHS Math Department, she leads with vision, collaboration, and steady dedication to high-quality instruction. Beyond her work in the classroom, she serves on both the building and district leadership teams, where she helps guide meaningful academic initiatives that strengthen teaching and learning across the district. Mrs. Rice regularly models instructional strategies during mini PDs and Learning Walks, supporting staff in designing deeper learning experiences for students. She also invests in developing future leaders through her role as a Link Crew advisor, mentoring students as they help new high schoolers transition with confidence. With her professionalism, compassion, and commitment to continuous improvement, Carrie Rice reflects the leadership and excellence the Titan community celebrates.
