🛑 Important Information about School Drop Off🛑
First Week of School Traffic – Thank You for Your Patience!
We are so excited to welcome everyone back for the first week of school, and we truly appreciate your patience and understanding as traffic around our schools increases. Here are a few ways families can help keep things running smoothly:
-
First Day Photos – We know many parents are eager to walk their elementary students in on the first day. However, multiple cars stopping in parking spots or pausing in the drop-off line creates congestion. Instead, we’ll have a special first-day backdrop set up during Strong Start Conferences where families can snap that perfect “First Day of School” photo.
-
Follow Staff Directions – Multiple staff members will be stationed along the front of the building to greet students and help them get to their classrooms. Please watch for signs and staff signals, and be sure to pull all the way forward in the drop-off lane to prevent traffic from backing up onto Carlisle. When students exit your vehicle, make sure they exit from the curb side of the car for their safety.
-
Quick Goodbyes – We hear this the most from parents and community members. Please be as fast and efficient as possible in the drop-off lane. Make sure backpacks and supplies are ready to go before pulling up, and make sure to grab those goodbye kisses and hugs at home (or make them quick at the curb !). A speedy drop-off keeps the line moving for everyone.
-
Exit Right Only – When leaving the elementary school, please turn right onto Fifth Avenue and follow the loop down Central to re-enter the main road. This route helps avoid congestion and keeps traffic moving safely for all.
Thank you for your cooperation in making drop-off and pick-up as safe and smooth as possible. Together, we can ensure a great start to the school year!
Logger Athletics Reminder
Athletic Fees Reminder and Due Date
Fall sports are underway, and we are excited to see our athletes back on the field and court representing Onalaska! As a reminder, due to the loss of levy funds, athletic fees are $150 per student, per sport for middle and high school sports. For fall athletes, these fees are due no later than September 8th.
We know these fees can sometimes be a challenge for families. Students may qualify for a waiver or reduced fee. If you believe you may qualify, please reach out to your school building office or visit the district website for more information.
Thank you for supporting our student-athletes and helping us keep Logger athletics strong!

Chromebooks
Student Technology Contracts
Over the past few years, we have continued to experience both damage to and loss of student Chromebooks. In order to better protect these resources, beginning this school year students and parents will be asked to complete a Technology Contract. This contract acknowledges both the rights and responsibilities of students and families when using school-issued devices.
The contract will also include an acknowledgment of potential fees or fines in the event of damage, loss, or misuse.
Thank you for partnering with us to ensure our technology remains available and in good working order for all students.
