Mustang Memo
September 2026
Here's what's happening at East Meadows...
Welcome Back Mustangs!
The school year is now in full swing. We are SO PROUD of our students for being on time for school each day. Students are starting to earn LOTS of attendance bucks and will have the opportunity to shop at our Mustang Market at the end of September. Please keep up the motivation and excitement for students to be on time for school - your efforts are paying off!
In this newsletter you will find a reminder about paying your donation by September 15th in order to get a free t-shirt, details about picture day, reminders about our half-day for students on September 22nd and more! Let us know if you have any questions or would like to see something in next month's newsletter!
No School Monday, September 7th! Happy Labor Day!
First School Community Council Meeting - Friday, September 11th at 9:00 AM!
Helping students start their day independently
Now that we have completed our first three weeks of school, students are becoming more familiar and comfortable with their morning routines. Beginning Tuesday, September 8, parents and guardians will say goodbye to their children at the school’s front entrance rather than walking them to their classrooms.
Several staff members will be available in the front lobby to greet students, help them find their way, and provide extra encouragement when needed. This routine will help us maintain safety in our school and will give students an opportunity to build confidence and independence.
We understand that some children may need additional support. If your child has a disability, has special needs, or continues to struggle with morning drop-off, please contact Mrs. Jordan so we can work together to create an appropriate plan.
Thank you for helping us provide a safe, positive start to each school day!
Make your donation and get a free t-shirt!
Donate by Septenber 15th and get a free school shirt!
This is a final reminder that we are asking parents to pay their yearly donation in order to maintain the field trips, programs and activities that we have planned this year at East Meadows. Anyone who has paid their donation by September 15th will receive a free t-shirt for each $35 donation. THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING OUR STUDENTS AND TEACHERS!

Be Here Bucks - Attendance Program
How many bucks have you earned?
As of today, students who have been in school every day and who also attended the open house will have a total of 16 Be Here Bucks by the end of the week. Ask your student how many they have earned.
Students must be in their classroom when the 8:45 AM bell rings in order to earn a buck!
