Good evening, Seniors and Senior Parents! It's hard to believe it's already been 4 years together! This year is going to be full of senior events and celebrations. In order to assist you, we have created a Senior Newsletter to share important information in one place. Please take a few minutes to review the information below and feel free to reach out with any questions.

If you need to order a cap and gown and/or plan to wear a cap and gown from a previous SJHS graduate, please follow the directions below to order the items you need. A tassel and diploma cover are included with cap and gown orders. If you do not order a cap and gown, you will need to purchase a tassel and diploma cover. *You are required to purchase a tassel and diploma cover together.*

How to order a cap and gown

Go to www.scherffjones.com or use the link below.

· Click Order Your Grad Products.

· Enter Your School and Grad Year. Be sure to select the correct city, state, and school.

· Click Next.

· Click on Shop Grad Products.

· Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Shop Individual Item.

· Scroll down and choose Cap, Gown, & Tassel with required items for Graduation.

· Add to the cart and check out.

How to order a tassel and diploma cover

Go to www.scherffjones.com or use the link below.

· Click Order Your Grad Products.

· Enter Your School and Grad Year. Be sure to select the correct city, state, and school.

· Click Next.

· Click Shop Grad Products.

· Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Shop Individual Item.

· Scroll down and choose Graduation Tassel & Diploma Cover Only.

· Add to the cart and check out.

During Advisory, information was shared with Seniors about this year's Senior Trip. Please take a moment to use the link below to access the information.

The yearbook is an important part of Senior Year. The link below takes is how you can access information about Senior Yearbook Ads, Senior Superlatives, Yearbook Quotes, and Purchasing a Yearbook.

St. James High School will be hosting a college fair for our students on October 8, 2025. There is also a College Fair for parents and students at Coastal Carolina University on October 7. To attend the College fair, the student will need to register for a barcode that they will need to show to enter. This is so they can show the colleges their barcode and the college rep will scan and have the student’s information.

You can choose 1 date or you may choose to attend both. Below is the information about the dates and times.

Daytime: October 8th Only Students

Time: 1:45-2:45 pm (Seniors 1:45-2:15, Juniors 2:15-2:45)

Location: Main Gym at St. James High School

Nighttime: October 7th Students & Parents

Time: 5:30-7:00 pm

Location: Scholars Academy on Coastal Carolina University’s campus

Student Registration - StriveFair.com

Students visit StriveFair.com to get registered to receive their barcode. They receive it right away, and they receive a reminder barcode sent via text and email 2 hours prior to the fair. Students need to print out the barcode to show at the door.

College Application Day will be October 31. Students will be able to sign up and come to get started on applications. Counselors and college representatives will be available to assist students with this.

Students will get an email about signing up for this closer to this date.
