Hi Naperville 203 Bus Families,

There’s a new way to get updates on your student's bus.

My Ride K-12 is officially live for Naperville 203. You can now start to move away from manual text alerts and access real-time bus information directly from your smartphone or computer.

How to get started in 3 easy steps:

  • Download the App: Search for "My Ride K-12" in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

  • Create Your Account: Open the app and follow the prompts to register. You will need

    • Your student's ID number

    • Your student’s Last Name

    • Your student’s Date of Birth

  • Link Your Student: Once registered, search for our district and add your child to your account.

What you can do right now:

  • Check the Map: View your child's route and stop location.

  • Set Notifications: Go to the Message Center to ensure you receive instant alerts for delays or school closings.

  • View Schedules: See confirmed pickup and drop-off times that synchronize automatically with our routing software.

Pro-Tips for Using the App:

  • The 5-Minute Rule: To ensure our routes stay on schedule and students remain safe, please have your child at their stop 5 minutes before the scheduled arrival time.

  • What is "Staging"? If you see the bus on the map sitting near the start of its route, the app will show a status of "Staging." This means the driver is in position and waiting for the precise moment to begin the route.

  • Safety First: Drivers are trained to depart once the students present at the stop have boarded. It is not safe for the bus to wait for students who are not already at the stop. Drivers should only pull away once everyone is safely seated and a final check shows the area is clear. If a driver spots a student heading toward the bus, they should hold their position and allow the student to board before proceeding to the next stop.

Happy riding! 🚌
