Community Learning Center

Sioux Falls School District employees may enroll their children in the Community Learning Center's after and/or before school programming for the next school year from Wednesday, January 4th through Tuesday, January 10th.

This is a one week early enrollment for Sioux Falls School District employees ONLY. This is only for children of SFSD employees (must live in your household and you must be parent/guardian of the child) - does not apply to nieces or nephews, grandkids, etc...

If you do NOT enroll during this one-week early enrollment, then you will have the opportunity to place your child's name in the lottery that will be held on Thursday, April 6th for any spots left in the program or waitlist placement.

Sioux Falls School District is now partnering with community providers in a Community Learning Center model for after school and summer enrichment programs. The collaborative program, located in elementary schools, provides a safe, licensed environment for students with embedded learning opportunities, enhancement activities, and a focus on developing skills that will last a lifetime.

School-based after school and summer enrichment programs are managed by a lead agency and supported by a governing structure within the Sioux Falls School District. The programs follow a unified standard for operating to ensure consistency and continuity among locations..

The complementary learning environment provides exceptional quality care while enhancement activities and interest clubs offer students opportunities to engage in STEM, sports, dance, cooking, life-skill development, and more. Homework help and directed tutoring programs extend learning beyond the school day.

NEW! At time of enrollment you will only pay the non-refundable Annual Processing Fee, which is $20 per child.

RATES BELOW ARE BI-WEEKLY & PER CHILD. The first bi-weekly payment will be due on Friday, August 18, 2023.

AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM:

$130 - School Days Only billing option - (does NOT include Special Days*)

$170 - Full School Year billing option - (includes all Special Days*)

RF PETTIGREW MORNING PROGRAM: (only available for those students that will attend RF Pettigrew Elementary)

$71 - School Days Only billing option - (does NOT include Special Days*)

$105 - Full School Year billing option - (includes all Special Days*)

*Special Days are held when there is NO School but our childcare program is in session.

TUITION ASSISTANCE:

Tuition Assistance may be available for qualifying families. At time of enrollment you will be able to let us know if you are interested in tuition assistance. If you indicate that you are interested, you will receive an email mid-February to give you more information on how to apply for a scholarship. Contact the office for more information.

If you currently qualify for a scholarship during the 2022/23 school year then you will be awarded that same scholarship amount for the 2023/24 school year as well. Therefore, your rate will remain the same as it is this school year.

Also, we do work with the State of South Dakota, Child Care Assistance Department, if you qualify or wish to apply for this assistance.

Child Care Assistance (CCA) families are responsible for having the proper certificate in place in order for the Community Learning Center office to be able to bill the State of South Dakota for their child's childcare services. If the certificate is not properly in place then CCA families may be responsible for afterschool fees to the Community Learning Center.

You must notify the Community Learning Center Office office by Friday, August 4th if you need to cancel your 2023/24 enrollment. If the office does not receive notification by this deadline, you will be responsible for the first biweekly fee due on Friday, August 18th.

2- You have a currently enrolled child in the program and are now enrolling one of their siblings into the program for next school year that has NOT been part of the program before.

To be sure that your enrollment process goes smoothly starting on January 4th you may click the button below to set up your log in information for myprocare.com if you have not done so already.

We have found that using a laptop computer is the easiest and quickest way to enroll.

If you are experiencing a registration issue on myprocare.com it may be due to a cache and cookies error. The following information has been provided to us from the company and has been useful to those that encounter this issue:

If you clear your browser's cache and then return to a web page, you can be sure you are viewing the most updated version of the page. In most browsers, you can clear the cache from the History link in the browser toolbar or in the Settings or Options menus.

To clear your cache in Chrome:
In the top-right corner of Chrome, click the Chrome menu.
Select More tools > Clear browsing data.
In the dialog box that appears, select the checkboxes for the types of information that you want to remove.
Use the menu at the top to select the amount of data that you want to delete.
Select beginning of time to delete everything.
Click Clear browsing data.

Registration will begin on Monday, February 27th.
