Pepin Academies New Port Richey

Neptune's News
Greetings Families,
This past Tuesday was a very busy day on our campus. As staff arrived, they were treated to Eistein Bagels by the McKay family. We want to let them know their generosity was greatly appreciated and the bagels were delicious.
The school day started with a pep-rally in the gym. We recognized the students who showed gains on the PM3 (end of the year) FAST. These gains are calculated by comparing the 2025 PM3 ELA and Math scores of each student to their 2024 PM3 data. I also spoke with the students about lunch time behavior; specifically, cleaning up after themselves. I reminded them that there is no maid service at Pepin Academies.
Next, our students enjoyed their first club day. The week prior, staff members signed up to offer two sessions of a club independently or with another staff member for about an hour each. Students were able to rank their top three choices for each of the sessions. We try to ensure that each student gets at least one club that is their first choice.
After clubs, we had Pepin Connections. This is one of my favorite activities that we do on campus. With Mrs. Kinney on vacation, I had the pleasure of hosting her group of students along with mine. We chatted, ate lunch, played a few games, and had some cake for dessert. Afterward, because it was an early release day, students were dismissed.
We rounded out the day with our first set of Parent-Teacher Conferences (PTCs) for the school year. Staff reported that the meetings were very productive. Thank you to families that were able to attend. If you were unable to secure a time to meet with your child's teacher last week, feel free to reach out and schedule a time to discuss their progress so far.

Please make sure you are following our procedures for the afternoon carline. Be patient and courteous, student and staff safety is paramount. Remember, your children are watching what you do. We ask that you drive slowly and are alert; cell phones should not be used while the carline is moving. Additionally, be respectful of the families living in the surrounding neighborhood. Do not block their driveways and be respectful when a homeowner is trying to exit or enter their property.
Happy Fall, Y'all!
Kathy
FREE After-school Tutoring
We are pleased to office tutoring again this year, to all students free of charge.
Tutoring will be offered in reading and math. Tutoring will be data-driven based-on students’ performance on school-wide assessments.
Tutoring will begin the week of 9/29/2025 and end on April 30, 2026. The days offered are Mondays and Thursdays from 3:30-4:30.
If students are not picked up by 4:35 they will remain in the office and charges will apply ($1 for each minute late).
There will be no make-up sessions for missed tutoring and no tutoring during school breaks. If a student’s behavior and/or lack of effort impedes the student’s ability to learn or prevents others from learning, the parent will be notified by either the tutor or administration. If the behavior occurs again, the student will be dismissed from tutoring. If school closes early for any reason, tutoring will be canceled. Students will be assigned tutoring days of the week based on the tutor’s caseloads by the tutoring team.
