Half Way Through Quarter 3
It is hard to believe it is March already and we are halfway through the 3rd quarter.
As we approach testing season, we want to remind you that tests are just one way to measure your child’s learning progress. While they provide valuable insights, they do not define a student’s abilities or potential. Our goal is to use test results to identify areas of growth and provide the best support for each student.
To help your child feel confident and prepared, consider these key tips:
✅ Keep It in Perspective – Remind your child that tests are a normal part of school and not something to fear. Encouraging a positive attitude can reduce anxiety.
✅ Review Practice Tests – If available, reviewing a practice test can help ease worries by making the test format familiar.
✅ Communicate with Teachers – Checking in with your child’s teacher can help identify areas where extra support at home might be beneficial.
✅ Encourage Their Best Effort – Reinforce the importance of trying their best without adding unnecessary pressure.
Your support plays a vital role in helping your child approach testing with confidence and a growth mindset. Thank you for partnering with us in their success!

Differentiated Instructional Plans (DEPs)
Differentiated Instructional Plans (DEPs)
All DEPs (Differentiated Education Plans) have been emailed to parents earlier in the school year for electronic signatures. If you haven’t received an email, I recommend checking your spam folder, just in case it was filtered there. For those who haven’t signed yet, I’ve sent four automated reminder messages starting in November to assist in completing this process. A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who has already signed! Your prompt attention to this helps ensure we’re all on the same page regarding your child’s educational plan.
If a DEP remains unsigned, it will be filed in your child’s cumulative folder with documentation of the four outreach attempts. However, I’m always happy to assist if you have questions or would like to discuss your child’s DEP in more detail. Please don’t hesitate to reach out!
To provide clarity, think of the DEP as a roadmap for your child's journey through this school year. Much like planning a cross-country trip, it outlines the best routes for success, highlights the unique strengths of each student, and considers the most effective support systems to help them thrive. We're here to ensure every step of the way is clear and personalized for each student’s needs.
