We're excited to welcome our Huskies back for another great school year! 💙

Huge CONGRATULATIONS to our two top-10 finishers at the District XC Meet this week! 🏃‍♀️💨 Amara Tyler took 1st place out of 71 runners to become the District Champion, and Lydia Marcin secured a fantastic 10th-place finish! We are so proud of you both! 🎉🏆

Next week is Red Ribbon Week, and we have some fun dress-up days planned! Check out the attached flyer for all the details. We can’t wait to see everyone participate!

TRY-OUTS WILL BE NOVEMBER 5TH, 6TH, AND 9TH. FIRST CUTS WILL BE FRIDAY NOVEMBER 7TH. FINAL CUTS WILL BE MADE AT THE CONCLUSION OF TRYOUTS ON MONDAY NOVEMBER 9TH. 7TH GRADE TRY OUTS WILL BE IN THE MORNING BEGINNING PROMPTLY AT 7:00AM FOR PLAYERS. PLEASE BE AT THE MAIN/AUX GYM AT LEAST 15 MINUTES BEFORE TRY OUTS BEGIN (NO LATER THAN 6:45AM!).

8TH GRADE TRYOUTS WILL BE AFTER SCHOOL FOR PLAYERS (BE IN THE GYM READY TO GOAT 3:35PM) AND WILL BE OVER AT 4:45PM EACH DAY.

EVERYONE MUST HAVE A PHYSICAL ON FILE WITH ERECKSON ATHLETICS, HAVE RANKONE FORMS COMPLETE. ADDITIONALLY, ELIGIBILITY STANDARDS (ACADEMICS/GRADES) WILL PLAY A FACTOR THROUGHOUT BASKETBALL TRYOUTS.

Attention HOPE Squad members: There will be a training after school on Wednesday, October 21st in room A215 from 3:33 to 4:15. We look forward to seeing you there!

The Chess Club is changing meeting days from Thursdays to Tuesdays beginning in November. We will have chess club meeting 10/22 and 10/29. Then beginning with November that will switch to Tuesdays. We meet in Mrs. Morris classroom A232 at 3:30-4:30.

Please join BASIC this Friday for Fellowship in room C124 at 7:45am. Make sure your parents have completed the permission form for this school year; you can find the link at our EMS club hub, or you can email Mrs. Cole or any of your BASIC leaders for the link. We are excited to spend time with you Friday morning!

Crochet Club meets every Thursday from 3:30-4:40 in Ms. Hauser's art room, C108. Come by to crochet with friends or if you want to learn how to crochet! All supplies are provided. Hope to see you then!

The submission deadline is Friday, October 23, 2026.

Students can submit entries to the Art teacher, Mrs. Hauser, in her art room or turn them in at the front desk in the PTA Arts collection box available October 19th-23rd

Each entry must be the original work of one student and created specifically for the Reflections program based on the national theme.

At least one person from the student's primary household must be a current member of Ereckson PTA for a submission to be accepted by the Reflections Committee. Join now!

The 1st meeting of the Sports and Trading(Pokemon) Card Club will meet on Monday, September 28th in Room B207. The club is open to anyone interested in Sports Cards, baseball, basketball, football, soccer, etc., and trading cards, pokemon, etc. The club will meet every other Monday and will be run by Mr. Byers and Mr. O'Neill. The meeting will run from 3:35 until 4:15, so please have a ride pick you up then. If you are interested in learning more about trading cards, showing off your cards or even trading cards with others then this club is for you.

Students: If you plan to attend any EMS Football games. Reminder, you must purchase tickets online, wear your school ID - Minga points - and be picked up by 7:30 pm.

All students are required to wear a school ID. Students can buy a replacement or additional ID in the library at any time for $5. Please review the ID policy. After school detention begins this week and students will begin being assigned to this for repetitive missing IDs, among other things.
