We are excited & ready!

Hello everyone, I am Dr. Maisha N Otway, and I couldn't be more thrilled to welcome the newest tigers and our returning family back home for the 2023-2024 school year. This year promises to be full of excitement and nervousness as we anticipate meeting all of our Tigers. The first day of school always brings a mix of jitters, sadness, and joy, but let's remember to take a deep breath and smile together as we kick off this new school year. Together, we will create a positive and enriching environment for everyone, fostering growth and learning. We have been planning all summer, honing our craft, and we are rejuvenated, rested and ready! Let's make this year one to remember!

How does your child go home?

Ensuring the safety and well-being of our students is our utmost priority at Meet the Teacher. That's why collecting information about how your child will be going home is of vital importance. On day one, smooth and stress-free dismissals are our goal, and having accurate and updated information is imperative to achieve that. If, for any reason, we haven't obtained this information during the event, we will reach out to you for verification. Please understand that according to FCS policy and to prioritize the safety of our PreK-1st graders, we cannot release them without a verified mode of transportation. Rest assured, we will keep them secure in our care until we get in touch with you to arrange for their pickup. Let's work together to have a wonderful and safe first day of school for all our children. Thank you for your cooperation in making this possible.

Dismissal Safety

The dismissal pick-up process begins at 2:20pm and ends at 2:45pm on the regular school days. HOWEVER, during the first few days of school, we prioritize safety above all else during dismissal to ensure a secure and stress-free process of the four major modes of pick-up and four designated locations: Car Rider, Bus, Van Riders, and Walkers. At 2 pm, we close the school front office and focus on executing a smooth and efficient dismissal. While we understand that this may lengthen the process, we kindly ask for your patience and understanding. Our main goal is to get your children to you as quickly and safely as possible. During this time, we may be on the phones verifying information and ensuring that students are in the proper locations. Our staff is dedicated to helping students learn the routines and procedures to ensure a seamless dismissal in the future. So, pack your patience, and rest assured that we are doing everything we can to prioritize the safety and well-being of your children. Bus and Car Rider families please review the linked details of support information to ensure you are prepared. Thank you for your cooperation and support as we work together to make this a successful school year.

Welcome Walk is Mon, Tues & Wednesday

Our Welcome Walk is a special event designed to mark the beginning of the school year, where students and their families come together to walk to class. While it may not be a formal conference, it is a wonderful opportunity to capture precious moments with a step and repeat backdrop, exchange warm waves, and gather any necessary information. Our primary focus is to ensure we have all the details about how your child will be going home safely. We value your presence and look forward to this delightful gathering as we embark on a fantastic journey of learning and growth together. Let's make this year memorable and full of success!
