THE WEEKLY LION REVIEW
RUSHVILLE CONSOLIDATED HIGH SCHOOL
WEEK 30
We have made it to the final stretch of the school year! I hope everyone had a relaxing break and were able to spend some time doing the things you want to do! It has been a really good week at RCHS and everyone has gotten back in the swing of things. Next weekend is the Prom. This seems to always be the event that kicks off the big things coming up as we start to wrap up the year. The eclipse is on Monday so I want to remind everyone that we are not in school. All of the parking lots will be blocked off from Friday night until Monday evening. Everyone enjoy the three day weekend and enjoy the once in a lifetime event on Monday. Please be sure to wear the proper eye protection while watching the eclipse. Enjoy!!!
INDIANA COLLEGE CORE AT RCHS
SOCIAL AND BEHAVIORAL WAYS OF KNOWING
Part 3! We will be looking at the category Social and Behavioral Ways of Knowing. Mr. James Marlatt is our RCHS instructor for this course. Students need a minimum of 3 credits in this category.
Dual Credit U.S. History offers students the opportunity to earn 6 college credits (3 per semester) in U.S. History. The class challenges students with a fast-paced, rigorous curriculum that focuses on historical analysis, argumentative writing, perspectives, and connection to the contemporary world. Dual Credit U.S. History is an excellent opportunity to learn about the history of the United States, earn college credit, and also prepare for the challenges of a college workload.
CAREER PROGRAMS
RCHS Vocational Spotlight
Over the next few weeks, we will be featuring careers that our vocational students will be learning about in our new programs that start in the 2024-25 school year at RCHS. Today’s spotlight is on our Criminal Justice program and careers with the Indiana State Police. Please follow the link for information on a unique career with the ISP.
