Otwell Middle School

Hello Bulldogs!
What a great week it has been at OMS! Our students have been engaged, kind, and full of energy, making the halls and classrooms buzz with learning and positivity.
We are excited to welcome our Cognia Internal Review team to OMS on October 27–28! This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase the amazing things happening in our classrooms, celebrate our students and staff, and highlight what makes Otwell and the Heart of Forsyth so special.
Our Sources of Strength “Get the Word Out” campaign was a success! Thank you to everyone who helped spread the word, build connections, and remind our Bulldogs that support is always available. Together, we are creating a culture where students know they are not alone and that there are trusted adults ready to listen, encourage, and support them Be on the lookout for fun activities and ways for your children to participate in celebrating healthy choices and positive decision-making.
Next week is Red Ribbon Week! Please see themes below.
Have a great weekend!

Counseling Corner
This month Dr. Walker has been working with the 7th grade students in YouScience as they work towards their field trip to JA. Students have been completing “brain games” and exploring Career Clusters based on their results. YouScience’s “brain games” are interactive aptitude exercises designed to assess and train specific cognitive skills such as attention, working memory, reasoning, and processing speed, with results linked to your Aptitude & Career Discovery profile. This is a two part session in YouScience so be sure to ask your 7th grader what they have learned about potential career.
Parents of 8th graders:
High School Transition activities are here. Mrs. Clark went into ELA classes to talk about high school fine arts and career tech pathways.
