Greetings Kindergarten, Young 5's, and Preschool Families!

Spring is here, and we are so excited to add our newest flock of Cardinals to our KES Family!

Kindergarten, Young 5's, and Preschool Enrollment Night will be Thursday, April 10th from 6:00pm-7:00pm in the Kingston Elementary Cafeteria. We will have registration packets and information available at this time. If you have any of the documents listed below, we will be able to make a copy of them at that time. There will be time during the event to fill out registration packets, but if you want to get a head start, you can pick up a folder in the office the week before and bring it with you to our event on April 10th.

Please let us know if this time does not work for you. We will be more than happy to make other arrangements with you.

While this event is geared toward parents or guardians attending to complete necessary paperwork and gain knowledge and insight regarding KES preschool and kindergarten enrollment, we will have staff available to watch any children that do need to attend with their parent or guardian.

What to bring:

1. Birth certificate

2. Immunization records

3. Proof of residency

4. Parent Driver's License

5. Proof of Income (Preschool Only)

Ms. Bednaryczk - Preschool (GSRP)

Hello Cardinal Families!

My name is Hannah Bednaryczk and I am one of the GSRP teachers here at Kingston Elementary. I have been working in the field of Early Childhood Education for seven years and this will be my second year in Kingston. I graduated from Ferris State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. I love working with preschool students because I get to be the first step to introduce them to school and help them develop the skills they will need for kindergarten. Some of my favorite hobbies include reading, hiking, kayaking, and camping. I enjoy spending time with my family, my boyfriend, and my two cats.

Ms. Wood - Preschool (GSRP)

Hello Families!
My name is Samantha Wood and I’m currently in my fourth year of GSRP and sixth year of preschool. I’ll be graduating from Central Michigan University with my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education this summer. I’m lucky enough to say I’ve been a part of Kingston’s GSRP since it opened; watching the impact it’s had on the community and students here at KES has been incredible. Each year my class never ceases to amaze me with what they’re able to accomplish before leaving our room. I can’t wait to get to know all the new families interested in our program! In my free time, I enjoy reading, teaching dance, and spending time at the lake with my family and boyfriend.

Mrs. Lester - Kindergarten

Hello!

My name is Sarah Lester and I am one of the kindergarten teachers at Kingston Elementary. I have been teaching for 20 years with a majority of that time focused on early childhood education. I have taught first grade as well as Creative Arts. I am a proud graduate of Western Michigan University and I have my Master’s in Reading and Literacy. It is my joy to bring the love of learning into children’s lives. I have been married to my wonderful husband, Dave, for 18 years. I have 4 boys! Being a “boy mom” has me outdoors, camping, biking, and watching sporting events. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, drawing, traveling, and anything Disney. I am so excited to meet this year’s new class of kinders.

Mrs. Gentner - Social Worker

Hi! I’m Raeann Gentner, the KES School Social Worker. I grew up in the area and earned my bachelor’s degree from Alma College and my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Michigan. My passion is making sure every student feels happy, safe, successful, and loved, especially while they’re at school. The best part of my job is greeting students each day with a smile and reminding them how much we care about them as individuals.

I live in Mayville with my husband, Dan, and our two kids, Hudson and Grayce (who are also Kingston Cardinals!). As a family, we love camping, having movie nights, and spending time outdoors.

I’m so excited to meet you and your children and welcome you to the Cardinal family!
