Marking period 2 interims were on Friday December 10 on Schoology. A copy was emailed to each parent email address on file so that you know where your student is academically. The IB Program is a fully academic program so it is important to stay on top of your classes as a member of the program. Students will be called in for check-in meetings in the coming days and parents will receive phone calls from Ms. Forman regarding progress. Every student in grades 9 and 10 will receive a progress report that requires a parent signature. Please return the signed form to Ms. Forman.

Joshua Omoniyi-John

(Grade 9) His favorite class is PE because it gives him the chance to move around and then play sports. Although he does not yet know what college he wants to go to, he will study business and aspires to be a professional athlete.

Savannah Nail

(Grade 9) Her favorite class is Choir because singing during class takes her mind off of other things, and it’s a relatively easy class if you just follow directions. She does not yet know what she wants to do after high school.

Jenna Myers

(Grade 12) Her favorite class is TOK because everybody is able to express their opinions and emotions. She wants to go to Towson university for computer science.
Ms. Coleman says "Jenna is kind to everyone, creates a welcoming environment, and always demonstrates how caring she is by helping with her friends, her classmates, and even her math teacher when needed :)"

Mr. Lalia says that Savannah and Joshua are working hard in AP Environmental Science.

CAS- Creativity, Activity, Service CAS- Creativity, Activity, Service

CAS is a required component of the IB diploma for students in grades 11 and 12. Savannah just finished her grade 11 project by working on an art and shapes lesson for the Pre-K students in Ms. Reed's class. Great work Savannah!

Senior Acceptances! Senior Acceptances!

Our Seniors have begun to receive college acceptances. So far students have been accepted to Towson University, Stevenson University, Elizabethtown College, The University of Pittsburgh, Goucher College, Salisbury University, Florida Memorial University & Notre Dame University.

Students have also earned a combined total of $452000 in scholarships from schools and another $3000 from outside sources so far!

Community Service Community Service

So far this year we have donated 5 boxes of toiletries to the LMS Compassion Place, sold socks to raise money for prosthetic limbs, collected mittens & winter coats for children at the LMS Compassion Place, and collected school supplies for Empower4life. Service is a huge component to the IB and is something we encourage all students to participate in. Thank you to all of the students and families who have helped us with our initiatives so far this year and I look forward to what next year brings!
