Dear Families,

From the excitement of Field Day on Monday to the joyful PreK End-of-Year Ceremonies on Tuesday and Wednesday, the adventurous fourth-grade Escape Elementary School event on Wednesday night, and wrapping up with the unforgettable second-grade talent show on Friday — it’s safe to say we’re officially winding down and gearing up for summer break!

This has truly been our best year yet, and we couldn’t be more grateful to all the families and school community members who make PRES such a wonderful place to learn, grow, and thrive.

As we head into the final stretch, please note that hot temperatures are expected on Monday. We encourage all students to bring water bottles and dress appropriately for the warm weather to stay cool and comfortable throughout the day.

Here’s to a summer full of fun, laughter, and well-deserved relaxation!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Kristine Kefor, Principal

Fourth Grade Legacy Gift Fourth Grade Legacy Gift

Each year, our fourth graders collect funds to provide a special “legacy gift” to our school. This year, thanks to the generous support of our PTSA—who matched the funds raised by our students—and a kind donation from Araujo’s Greenhouse in Dighton, our students will be gifting several trees and plants to enhance the front garden area at PRES.

In addition to the plantings, students also painted rocks to contribute to our growing Kindness Rock Garden. A dedicated group of fourth graders helped prepare the space today by weeding and clearing debris during recess.

We’re so proud of their hard work and generosity in leaving a lasting mark on our school community!

Fifth Grade and New Student Orientation Fifth Grade and New Student Orientation

The transition from elementary to middle school can be an exciting time, but it also brings understandable feelings of anxiety for both students and parents. To help make this transition as smooth and comfortable as possible, we’ve planned two important events to support our incoming fifth grade students and their families.

On June 13, 2025, our fourth-grade students participated in a “Step Up Day” at Beckwith Middle School. This visit gave students their first opportunity to tour the building during the school day, attend a presentation led by school administrators, and interact with current students.

To further support this transition, we will host a Parent and Student Orientation on Monday, August 25, 2025, beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Beckwith Middle School. This evening event will give incoming fifth-grade students—and any new students—a second opportunity to explore the school. Parents are invited to attend and will receive more in-depth information about Beckwith Middle School’s educational programs and daily routines.

We look forward to welcoming your child and working in partnership with you for a successful start to the school year.

👕🎽👟🧥 Lost and Found 👕🎽👟🧥 👕🎽👟🧥 Lost and Found 👕🎽👟🧥

As we approach the end of the school year, we kindly ask that you take a moment to check our Lost and Found for any missing items. Our collection of jackets, lunch boxes, water bottles, and other personal belongings has grown throughout the year, and we’d love to see these items returned to their rightful owners.

Please note: Any unclaimed items remaining after June 23rd will be donated to a local charitable organization.

We appreciate your support in helping us tidy up and ensure nothing gets left behind before summer vacation begins!
