RILEY RECAP - VOLUME 5 ISSUE 10
January 18, 2026
From the Desk of Principal Henderson
Dear Riley Parents, Guardians, and Scholars,
As we continue through the school year, we want to encourage every scholar to stay focused, motivated, and committed to their success. Hard work, consistency, and intentional effort truly matter. Every assignment completed, every class attended, and every moment spent preparing brings scholars one step closer to their goals.
We encourage scholars to be intentional about their learning, set clear academic goals, strive for strong grades, and seek help when needed. Success does not happen by chance; it is built through daily choices and perseverance. When scholars take ownership of their education, they position themselves to meet their aspirations for college, careers, and beyond.
Parents, your continued support and encouragement make a powerful difference. Together, as a school community, we can help our scholars remain focused, confident, and determined.
Let’s keep pushing forward, believing in our abilities, and working hard to achieve the future we envision.
I can promise you the best of myself for your students each and every day. Please do not hesitate to contact me at shenderson2@sbcsc.k12.in.us if you have any questions or concerns during the year.
Our Goals:
1) Educate the Whole Student
2) Building Meaningful Relationships
3) A 95% attendance rate
4) A 90% graduation rate
We greatly appreciate the value that each and every one of our scholars and families brings to Riley. WE ARE THE PRIDE OF THE SOUTHSIDE! WE ARE #RILEYSTRONG!
Sincerely,
Shawn Henderson
