Where Little Panther Cubs Begin BIG Journeys
From the Principal
Dear Luce Road Families,
We wrapped up our first full week of school, and our Panther Cubs are already showing how much they’ve learned. They know what is expected at school and are practicing their routines with their teachers every day. Check out the photos below to see this week’s adventures and the learning in action!
We were also thrilled to welcome our GSRP Preschool Panther Cubs as they begin their own big journey. Your energy, smiles, and excitement brightened our school. Enjoy a few snapshots from their classroom adventures this week!
Together, we are building a strong foundation where curiosity and creativity shine. Luce Road is the place where Little Panther Cubs begin big journeys—and we’re just getting started. The energy is contagious, and we couldn’t be prouder.
We’re excited to expand childcare services for the Alma community, including enhanced before and after school options, care on snow days and on days when school is not in session. Families can contact our office for details and enrollment information.
Warm regards,
Mr. Ernest Conerly
Principal, Luce Road ECLC

Dressing for the Weather
Please help your child dress for the weather. Our Panther Cubs have outdoor recess 3 to 4 times a day. Mornings can be chilly, so send a jacket or hoodie and closed-toe shoes. Students are expected to go outside each time. Please label all items with your child’s name. Thank you for keeping our Cubs comfy and ready to play!

ID or Pick Up Line Tag
To pick up your child, please show your Pick Up Line Tag. If you do not have it, you must present a photo ID to the office staff. This is required every day, even if you forgot your tag.
For safety, please do not remove your child from the pick up line until a staff member dismisses them. Thank you for helping us keep all students safe.
Labeling Student Belongings
Parents and guardians, please label your Panther Cub’s belongings, including backpack, coat, lunch box, and water bottle. Our Lost and Found is filling up, and labeled items can be returned quickly. Thank you for your help!
Clothing
Please make sure you send a change of clothes in for your student. Sometimes accidents happen and it’s helpful for them to have a change of clothes.
Please make sure ALL of your student’s belongings are labeled with their name! If it gets lost, staff will know who to return it to!
