After months of dedication and hard work, Year 11 external exams are finally over! We are extremely proud of our pupils who have powered through various challenges during their secondary school journey. Well done everyone, enjoy the well-deserved, long summer break!

We have been celebrating the visual arts at Hathershaw this week! Our EPA faculty held their annual art exhibition again this week, showcasing the amazing work of our students. On Monday 26th June, parents and carers were invited for the opening event after school, with a staff event taking place the next day. It was fantastic to see our pupils being recognised for their talents by staff and parents.

On Friday 23rd June, a group of year 9 students attended the Science and Technology Challenge Day at the University of Manchester. Pupils had a fantastic time taking part in various STEM activities alongside students from other secondary schools. Some of our students won awards for excellent teamwork and for winning the diagnostic challenge!

We encourage our students to try new and challenging things, and provide them with the opportunities to do so.

We were pleased to have Werneth Primary school, Year 5 students join us on Wednesday 21st June, to get a taste of the Hathershaw experience. Pupils had the opportunity to explore our facilities and took part in various activities in Technology, Science and IT. It was brilliant to see students from our Trust partner school, in our building, engaging with our pupils, and discovering all that Hathershaw has to offer!
