MTSS LeadWeekly UpdatesWeek of October 14, 2024

Welcome Back! Welcome Back!

Quarter 2 begins today and we are equipped with multiple data points and instructional decisions have been made to support students intentionally each and every day. This quarter has always been a pivotal one that can yield great results or show incredible defeat academically for students. I encourage you to do the following.

1. Be consistent in data review (don't forget to review your iReady data as well as aimswebPlus data points), instructional planning, feedback, and documentation, but most importantly in the required time for Tier 2 and Tier 3 instruction to allow students time to acquire what is being presented.

2. Be communicative to other teachers, leaders, parents, and most importantly in your feedback to students. This can go a long way in helping everyone be on the same page from the start.

3. Be correct in what is being taught. Use videos to support your own knowledge base and ask others who do know if you do not. Our Tier 1 curricular resources offer videos for sound production and math problem solving for example. It's okay not to know, but not okay to not seek support to get it right for students.
