IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR FRIDAY!

We are looking forward to the 2026-27 school year beginning tomorrow. The first few days of school is always a little chaotic and stressful to students, parents and staff. Here is some important information for tomorrow:

* In the morning, all students who are dropped off by car must be dropped off in the main drop off line in front of the school. For safety reasons and traffic control, no one is to enter the back parking lots of the school or drop students off there. No one is to enter the student parking lot except for students and no one is to be dropped off there. Obey all traffic signs and yield to any student who may be crossing a street and for our buses.

* All students are expected to be in first period by the tardy bell at 7:50am

* All students must report to school on Friday. This includes all Dual Enrollment students. First period dual students will report to the gym.

* The school doors open to students at 7:35am. Please do not drop students off before 7:35am

* Student drop off is only in the front of the school.

* There is not left turn into the school from 7:15 to 8:15.

* Tomorrow will be a day of orientation meetings for the following groups:

General student assembly in the gym
Drivers Ed Students in the gym with Mr. Willingham
Seniors
Dual Enrollment students
New students to PCHS
Career Tech students
Athletes

* NEW! Franklin County Board Policy bans insulated tumblers (such as Stanley, Yeti, and HydroFlask) for students. To enhance safety and allow for contraband checks, students must use clear, plastic, disposable bottles. This is standard across most Alabama school districts.

* Under the FOCUS Act adopted by the State of Alabama, students are strictly prohibited from possessing powered-on mobile phones or wireless communication devices, including smart watches, earbuds, glasses that record and tablets, on their person during the instructional day.

Have A Great Weekend!
