Greetings, CUSD Families!

Welcome to 2026, and Happy New Year to the entire CUSD school community. I hope our families enjoyed a restful Winter Recess. I would also like to extend warm wishes to those who observed Three Kings Day yesterday.

As we begin the new year, there are several important dates coming up, including the end of the second marking period later this month, which are highlighted later in this e-newsletter.

A new year brings renewed energy and many opportunities for the remainder of the 2025/2026 academic year, and I am excited about all that our scholars and school community will accomplish together in the months ahead. As we approach the close of the second marking period, I encourage families to stay connected with teachers and school staff to support student success.

Just before Winter Recess, schools across the district hosted several winter celebrations, and we’re excited to share photos from those events.

It’s a new year and month and we are continuing our SEL: Promoting Positive Actions initiative.

We hope you and your scholar have been keeping up with the daily tasks to promote positive actions every day. We also post a weekly calendar every Sunday on our social media pages to help you stay on track.
