Southport Elementary Eagle News
September Title 1 Newsletter
Principal's Welcome
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We’ve had a fantastic start to the school year! Our Eagles have been putting in great effort to kick off the year on a positive note. As we move into September, we have some exciting events planned, including our first Flag Raising and Open House. Additionally, we are beginning preparations for our Fall Festival. If you're interested in assisting with the festival, please reach out to your child's teacher via email or connect with our PTO.
To help you stay connected throughout the year, we will continue sharing updates via Eagle News, Everbridge calls, and our Southport Facebook page. If you’re not currently receiving Eagle News, please make sure your contact information is up to date in Focus or reach out to Mrs. Stewart to be added to our mailing list.
Thank you for your continued support of Southport Elementary. Together, we’re building a strong foundation for our students, one full of learning, growth, and unforgettable memories. Let’s make this school year our best yet!
Go Eagles!
Warm regards,
Mr. Harless
Principal
Communication is the Key to Student Success
Communication is the key to student success. Please make sure you have updated your Parent Portal with the latest contact information. The District needs accurate information to plan bus routes & transportation schedules. Our Everbridge Alert System can be an emergency alert but in most cases it is a form of communicating with you. Please take the time to listen to the alert because important upcoming events and information you need to know will be delivered via Everbridge Alert.
Our SES Website has our Events Calendar linked for you to view the entire school year now. The BDS App is a great way to stay connected. It sends daily and weekly reminders to your phone for our school events and activities.
