Cedar Hill Girls Basketball Roll Past Mesquite
The Cedar Hill High School Girls Basketball Team bounced back from a 62-41 loss at Lancaster with a 67-28 victory over Mesquite last Friday.
Brooklyn King scored a game-high 18 points, Rylan Jones contributed 15 points and Sydney Moultrie added 13 points.
The Lady Longhorns (21-7, 8-2) will visit Waxahachie (13-15) on Tuesday and host DeSoto (16-13) on Friday.

GIRLS BASKETBALL ALUMNI UPDATE
East Carolina senior forward Anzhane Hutton finished with 12 points, nine rebounds and five steals in a 69-52 loss to Temple. The Pirates (10-10) will host Wichita State on Wednesday.
UTEP junior guard Portia Adams recorded a game-high 23 points and five rebounds in a 72-71 loss at Jacksonville State and followed that up with 19 points in a 84-70 loss at Kennesaw State. UTEP (9-9) will host Western Kentucky on Thursday.
Goodwin Scores 30 Points in Win Over Mesquite
Cedar Hill senior Jerrin Goodwin scored a season-high 30 points in a 80-72 win over Mesquite. Teammates Tamarion Crochett and Tra'Davien Young scored 13 and 10 points, respectively, for the Longhorns (16-12, 3-5), who swept the season series against the Skeeters.
Goodwin and Young scored 17 points apiece in a 69-57 loss to Lancaster.
It's a big week for the Longhorns, who visit Waxahachie (14-11) on Tuesday and host DeSoto (17-9) on Friday.
During the first round of competition, the Longhorns lost to those two teams by a total of nine points.

Butler scores five goals in two games as Cedar Hill Girls Soccer starts district, 2-0
Cedar Hill junior McKinlee Butler scored a total of five goals and an assist in victories over Dallas Skyline (3-1) and Lancaster (4-0), respectively.
Butler had two goals and an assist in a 3-1 win over Skyline. Dulce Zapata scored a goal in the district-opening win. Nadia Newsome and Deleila Chavez each had an assist.
Butler had a season-high three goals against Lancaster, and Zapata had one. Newsome finished with two assists for the second time this season, and Grecia Caloca added two assists.
The Lady Longhorns (3-4-1, 2-0) will host Mesquite (2-5-1) on Tuesday and visit Waxahachie (7-5) on Friday.

Cedar Hill Boys Soccer Defeats Lancaster in Home Opener
The Cedar Hill High School Boys Soccer Team defeated Lancaster, 3-1, in its home opener last Friday.
Kian Adloo, Manuel Barraza and Dominick Gomez each scored a goal, while Prosper Ugbomoh had an assist for the Longhorns (2-5-1, 1-1).
Earlier in the week, Andres Escarzaga and Gideon Drumm scored goals in a 5-2 loss at Skyline. Ugbomoh had an assist in that match.
Cedar Hill will visit Mesquite (4-2-2) on Tuesday and host Waxahachie (5-1-1) on Friday.
