Dear Jefferson Elementary Families,

I want to take a moment, on behalf of the entire staff, to wish all of you a very Happy Thanksgiving!

We are incredibly thankful for the wonderful Jefferson community and for the amazing support and work you and our families do every day to make our school a success. Your partnership is invaluable.

These next few days are a perfect opportunity to step back, relax, and enjoy the company of those you love. I encourage you to use this time to unplug—turn off the devices, put down the phones, and truly enjoy each other's company. Play a game, go for a walk, share stories, or just savor a meal together without distractions.

We wish you a safe, restful, and joyful holiday filled with warmth and gratitude.

We look forward to seeing our students back after the break!

Warmly,

Scott Schmidt

Principal

Jefferson Elementary held its annual "Balloons Over Broadway" Parade today, featuring our third-grade students!

Inspired by the famous Thanksgiving parade, our third graders designed and built their own character balloons. This project required a lot of creativity and hard work from our students.

We also want to recognize the great support from our third-grade families. Their help was key to bringing these balloons to life and making the parade a success.

It was wonderful to see the students proudly walking their creations through the parade.

Thank you to everyone who made this year's parade so successful. What a great way to start our Thanksgiving break!

Jefferson Elementary had a special musical treat today! We were excited to host Mr. Dengle and the Gahanna High School Chamber Orchestra, who performed for our students.

The high school musicians shared a variety of music, giving our students a chance to experience the sound of a live orchestra. The performance was interactive, and several of our students even had the exciting opportunity to try playing some of the instruments themselves!

We are very fortunate in Gahanna to have such a strong performing arts program at the high school level. Events like this are a wonderful reminder of the importance of a well-rounded education, which includes exposure to the arts. Our students truly enjoyed the performance and the chance to engage with music today.

A big thank you to Mr. Dengle and the talented Gahanna High School Chamber Orchestra for sharing their gifts with the Jefferson community!

Always great to welcome former Jefferson Students back to their elementary school.

Please make sure students are dressed warmly for recess as the weather gets colder. We will be outside for recess unless the temperature or wind chill is below 17 degrees.

If you need coats, hats, or gloves, please reach out to the front office or Mrs. Bills.

Please see the link below to access the student Directory. The directory was created based on permission given by families when they completed the Infinite Campus Yearly update. If information in the directory is incorrect, please contact Miss Schilling via email or phone call.

This group was created for Jefferson families and staff to support and celebrate our students and school. It's also a great place to ask questions of other parents and have support as you navigate the school year.

We are excited to see all the amazing and encouraging ways our families and staff connect with each other! This is a place for positive comments and a helpful resource for families. This is not the place to voice concerns. If you have an issue you would like to discuss, please get in touch with the staff member directly via email or call the school. This is a place to build on the sense of community within our Jefferson Family.
