Third Grade Farewell Third Grade Farewell

What an incredible day! 🎶 Our amazing third grade students absolutely blew us away at their farewell concert today. There were beautiful songs, big smiles, and maybe a few tears from the audience! 😢❤️

As this wonderful group prepares to head off to the Howard School next year, we want to wish them the absolute best. Thank you for all the laughs, hard work, and memories. You will be missed so much, but we know you're going to do big things! 🌟

As we head into these final weeks of school, we want to ensure all of our students stay safe right up until the last day. Please remember that the playground is closed during dismissal. Because our staff are fully occupied overseeing the buses and car lines, there is no supervision available on the equipment at that time. Thank you for your cooperation!

First Grade Southwick Zoo Field Trip First Grade Southwick Zoo Field Trip

First grade had a fantastic time at the zoo! Students enjoyed seeing animals from around the world, learning about their habitats, and sharing lots of excitement throughout the day. It was a fun and memorable learning experience for everyone!

RIF Book Distribution RIF Book Distribution

Last week our students took part in the Reading Is FUNdamental (RIF) spring book distribution! Every student had the chance to select a brand-new, free book to keep as their own, helping to inspire a lifelong love of reading.
A huge, heartfelt THANK YOU to the Howard Trust, Bluestone Bank, Friends of the Library, and our generous private donors. Your incredible support makes this wonderful initiative possible and helps nurture a passion for literacy in our community!

PRIDE program at RLM PRIDE program at RLM

At RLM, our PRIDE program is designed to help students grow not only as learners, but also as caring, responsible community members. Each month, teachers and students focus on one of our PRIDE traits:

  • September – Passion

  • October – Respect

  • November – Ingenuity

  • December – Determination

  • January – Empathy

  • February – Positivity

  • March – Responsibility

  • April – Inclusivity

  • May – Dreamer

Throughout the month, students learn about the featured trait in their classrooms and in schoolwide activities. On Mondays and Fridays, student volunteers share examples and their own interpretations of the trait during morning announcements. At the end of each month, we celebrate students who have done an exceptional job demonstrating the trait in their daily actions. These students will also receive a token to "purchase" a book from our school book vending machine.

Our PRIDE program helps us build a school culture where character, leadership, and positive choices are valued and celebrated.
