Dear Frankfort School District 157-C Community,

Our November Parent-Teacher Conferences provide an important opportunity to connect about your child’s academic progress and overall experience in FSD 157-C. Strong partnerships between families and educators are key to fostering the best possible learning environment for our students.

This year’s conferences will be held on Monday, November 24, and Tuesday, November 25, with both in-person and virtual meeting options to accommodate family schedules.

Families will receive an email from the District at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 7, with a link to access “Meet the Teacher,” our online conference scheduling program.

Conference scheduling will remain open until 4:00 PM on Friday, November 14.

Conference Schedule by Day:
Monday, November 24

• 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM: In-Person Conferences

• 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM: Virtual Conferences

• 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM: In-Person Conferences

Tuesday, November 25

• 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Virtual Conferences

Will County Educators of Excellence

This year, the Will County Regional Office of Education will recognize outstanding individuals who make a meaningful impact in their schools and communities through the first annual Educators of Excellence Awards. Nominations are open in ten award categories, including those for classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, and building administrators. Frankfort School District 157-C is fortunate to have exceptional staff, volunteers, and leaders who embody this spirit of service and professionalism. Tiger University: Executive Functioning

If you were unable to attend last week’s Tiger University session on Executive Functioning, the presentation slides prepared by our staff are available online. These resources offer strategies and insights to help families support students in building focus, organization, and self-management skills.

Honoring Our Veterans

Next month, our schools will proudly host special assemblies and programs in honor of Veterans Day. These events provide students with the opportunity to reflect on the service, courage, and sacrifice of those who have served our country.

Veterans Day Programs:

• Hickory Creek Middle School: 8:00 AM Assembly (Breakfast for Veterans begins at 7:15 AM)

• Grand Prairie Elementary: 9:15 AM Assembly

• Chelsea Intermediate: 10:30 AM Assembly

We extend our deepest gratitude to our veterans and their families, and we look forward to celebrating them together as a community. Please see information in the school building newsletters to learn how to attend this important ceremony.

Frankfort School District 157-C utilizes a more environmentally friendly and efficient method for sharing information. Flyers, posters, and media from district schools, non-profit organizations, intergovernmental agencies, and approved business partners are available on our "Virtual Backpack" webpage. This approach replaces the traditional practice of sending materials home via students' backpack mail, ensuring easier access and reduced paper waste.
