Dear Families and Friends,
What a busy and exciting week in Dragon Country! We kicked off our week with a special treat for our staff, thanks to our wonderful Bakie Boosters. We are so fortunate to have such a supportive group that continually finds ways to make our school community feel special!
Our preschoolers had a wonderful time visiting our pumpkin patch, picking their very own pumpkins, and decorating them. We wrapped up our week with one of our favorite traditions—a schoolwide costume parade! It was so much fun seeing the creativity, excitement, and smiles as our Dragons showed off their costumes.
Looking Ahead: Parent Conferences – Tuesday, November 3rd
We are looking forward to welcoming families for parent conferences on Tuesday! Conferences are a wonderful opportunity to connect with your child's teacher, celebrate growth, ask questions, and share important insights about your child.
A few tips to make the most of your conference:
Celebrate the successes! Start by sharing something your child is proud of or something you have noticed at home.
Share what you see at home. Your insights about your child's interests, strengths, and challenges help us better understand the whole child.
Ask questions. This is a great time to learn more about your child's academic progress, friendships, classroom experiences, and areas of growth.
Work together on next steps. Talk about ways we can partner to support your child's continued learning and development.
Keep the conversation going! Building a strong partnership doesn't end when the conference does. We are always stronger when we communicate and work together.
While you are here, don't forget to stop by the gym to visit our Dragon Showcase! We are excited to share and celebrate the wonderful learning taking place throughout Bakie.
Thank you for being such an important part of our Dragon community. Whether it is through a classroom celebration, a school tradition, or a conversation with your child's teacher, these connections remind us that we are all working toward the same goal.
Better Together in Dragon Country!
