Principal Duckworth's Notes
September 3, 2025
Hello Northglade Families,
I hope you are enjoying your extended weekend and was able to rest, relax, rejuvenate and spend time with family and friends this holiday weekend. There is o school on Monday in observance of Labor Day. We will continue with having 4 full days of school, Tuesday through Friday. Attached you will find relevant information for upcoming events.
Dropping Off Students
For the safety of all of our students, we use the area designated by the yellow line, in the parking lot, for Student Drop Off Only. Parents should pull along side the curb and drop their students off. If for any reason, the person dropping the student(s) off, needs to exit the car, we ask you to pull into a parking space.
*If you are bringing your pre-schooler up to be checked in, please find in a parking space.
*If you want to walk your students up to the door, please pull in a parking space.
*If you need to have a quick chat with your child, please pull in a parking space.
*If you need to comb your child's hair, please pull in a parking space.
*If you need to assist them with bringing things into the building, please pull in a parking space.
Please do not get upset with us when we ask you to pull into a parking space. We are trying to keep hundreds all our students safe as they are coming into the building. Let's make it safe for all.
Entrance Into Northgalde
We know that times have changed and parents and visitors are no longer able to walk the halls of their student's school, due to safety issues. For the safety and security of all our students and staff, there will be NO ONE permitted to enter the building past the office. We understand the need for a bathroom, but we can not have anyone past the office. Please do not go through the doors, that lead to the hallways. All guest must go through the Raptor System and and have a background check within the last 6 months.
Here are some expectations:
Exceptions:
*you have an appointment with a teacher or staff member. You must wait in the office until your appointment. The staff member will come to the office and greet you.
*you are volunteering in the classroom, and you have a volunteering time set up with the teacher. You must have a current background check on file, and also will need to bring your ID to be scanned by the Raptor system on arrival. You will be given a name tag to wear while you are in the building volunteering. Please note: your name tag will list the area that you are volunteering. Please be mindful of that and stay in the area that you are volunteering.
*PTO events - all volunteers must have a background check and be entered into the raptor system upon arrival to the building.
*you are coaching/supervising an after school event–please check in with the office and go directly to the area that your event will be held. You should arrive at school a few minutes before dismissal.
Thank you in advance for your understanding of this process.
Mobile Units Enrollment Forms
This year, we have the opportunity again to have the Health Mobile Units visit our schools. Last year we did not have enough people to sign up. They will come and do health exams here at the school. We need to have at least 20 students enroll for the Mobile Units to come to Northglade and care for our students. Click the link below to enroll or ask the office for a paper form.
