This month is full of exciting opportunities for learning, growth, community fun, and celebrating our amazing Librarian, Assistant Principal, and Administrative Assistant!

April brings STAAR testing for our 3rd–5th graders, three more opportunities to attend Saturday Quest, Talent Show auditions, Kinder cap and gown pictures, Pre-K registration, and so much more.

📌 For 3rd–5th Grade Parents/Guardians:

STAAR testing is quickly approaching, and we appreciate your support in helping ensure consistent student attendance. Our students are actively preparing and working hard during their STAAR Rockin’ Review days! Please help by ensuring your child gets a good night’s rest each evening so they can stay focused, confident, and engaged throughout the school day.

📌 Attendance Reminder:

Our school day begins promptly at 7:50 AM, and consistent attendance is key to student success—every day counts! To support timely arrivals:

• Parents/guardians dropping off students after 7:50 AM will receive a Parent Tardy—a friendly reminder of our start time.

• Students arriving at 8:05 AM or later must be signed in by a parent/guardian at the front office.

Texas Education code 37.222 requires school districts to provide information on safe firearm storage to the parent or guardian of each student.

We are thrilled to announce that Smith Elementary will be offering childcare for CCISD employees! Registration for the 2025-2026 school year is now open.

If you need childcare for a child between 6 weeks and 3 years old (turning 3 after September 1st), please complete the application and select your preferred location.

We’re excited to support our CCISD families with this opportunity!
