A Note from Principal Carlotta Simonds-Perantoni
It seems like we were just welcoming everyone back and now it's October 2nd; we are surrounded by the beautiful fall colors that grace our mountainsides.
Next Thursday, October 8th will be a busy day at WRVS. WRVS will welcome over 150 grandparents for lunch. The 8th Grade will play at 1:30 PM, against our WRVS Staff in the much anticipated soccer game.
Please mark your calendar that there is NO SCHOOL on Friday, October 9th; staff will be taking part in an OESU wide in-service. Also, please note that there is no school on Monday, October 12th for the holiday weekend.
All Meadow Farms Fundraising packets are due back at school on Thursday, October 8th; at the very latest, Tuesday, October 13th.
Please mark your calendars for Wednesday, October 28th for High School Choice Night which will take place from 6:00-7:00 PM in the gymnasium.
Sending wishes to you all for a WONDERFUL fall weekend!
Pre-k Apple Pie Making
Pre-k was given apples and they were so excited to make apple pie! These pre-k scholars were very eager to help out with all the preparations from cutting up the apples, to seasoning, to mixing and making the oatmeal topping!
October Greetings from the Nurse's Office
As temperatures start to drop in the fall, we notice incidences of ticks and head lice that seem to pop up more frequently. Please keep in mind and help us out by making an effort to do tick and lice checks at home. We appreciate your partnership with this. Attached you will find literature that you might find helpful and as always, please reach out with questions. Have a great weekend.

WRVS Team Sport Highlights
3/4 Soccer Highlights from Coach Morgan Otterman
3/4 soccer is in full swing! Everyone is improving with every practice; Melissa and I are beyond proud of how far they have come! We have so many athletes to highlight, but for this week here are just a few:
Ava Smith has gone above and beyond this soccer season to dominate the field. She has been a great support for her teammates. She has also been one of our top scorers this season so far!
Maverick Kingsbury jumped in to be our goalie when we needed him most and blew us all away with his ability to stop everything kicked at him. He is a player who isn't afraid to get some grass stains on his jersey and is so fun to watch!
Grayson Thurston came into the season late, but that didn't slow him down one bit! On the field he comes alive attacking the ball and helping out his fellow teammates move the ball down the field.
Reef Ramsrud may be tiny, but don't let her size fool you; she will take on anyone to score a goal for her team! She always has a smile on and is ready to play with a great attitude!
Adeline Stearns has all the grit to be the best goalie ever! Her determination has made her a very valuable player for our team on the field and in goal! She's definitely not just a goal stopper, she is a goal maker!
5/6 Soccer Highlights from Coach Amber Kilduff
On Thursday, our 5th/6th Grade Soccer Team took on the Bradford Bears and battled to a hard-fought tie! Our players gave tremendous effort from start to finish and never gave up. Their determination and competitive spirit were evident throughout the entire game.
Olivia LaPan delivered an outstanding performance in goal, making several key plays to keep us in the game. Christopher Toffling found the back of the net with some great goals, while Lily Bosworth brought incredible energy and intensity to the field. My midfielders, Grayson Kilduff, James Robtoy, Connor Shreve, Blaze Ramsrud, and many more did an amazing job by playing both offense and defense!
Our entire defensive line deserves recognition for their strong effort and commitment to keeping the ball out of the middle of the field. Every player contributed and worked hard to support the team.
Most importantly, we are really beginning to come together as a team. Our communication continues to improve, we are working together more effectively, and we are demonstrating excellent sportsmanship both on and off the field. We are incredibly proud of the growth, effort, and teamwork this group continues to show. Great job, team!
