BEAR NEWSPARENT / STUDENT NEWSLETTERBEVERLY HILLS March 2025

Dear Parents and Guardians,

This is a busy time of year with the STAAR test right around the corner. If your student is struggling, make sure they are talking to their teacher and attending tutorials. We must work hard to ensure that we are ready, not only for the state exam, but also for the upcoming school year! Keep in touch with your child’s teachers to stay updated on their progress and any areas where they may need additional support. Encourage your child to get plenty of sleep, stay focused, and do their personal best each and every day!

At BHI, the safety of our students and staff is our top priority. We have implemented structures and procedures to create a safe and secure learning environment. We kindly ask you to review the procedures and policies below and reinforce them at home. Maintaining consistency for the remainder of the school year is essential in helping us sustain a safe and supportive school community.

Let’s work together to ensure our students are well-prepared and confident as they approach the STAAR test and the upcoming school year!

Dismissal Procedures Dismissal Procedures

As we strive to ensure the safety and well-being of all our students, I want to take a moment to remind you about our dismissal procedures.

Car Riders:
Our standard procedure is for car riders to be picked up in the front of the school. However, if you choose to pick up your child in the side parking lot, please adhere to the following guidelines:

Park in Designated Areas: It is imperative that you park your vehicle in a designated parking space and refrain from parking on the curb. This ensures a smooth flow of traffic and prevents congestion in the area.

Exercise Caution: We strongly advise against picking up your child in the side parking lot, as it can pose safety risks. However, if you opt for this alternative, please exercise extreme caution and be vigilant of other vehicles and pedestrians.

Increased Awareness: We have noticed an increase in the number of vehicles parking on the curb, which is a safety concern. Therefore, we cannot allow anyone to park in such a manner, as it obstructs traffic and jeopardizes the safety of our students and staff.

Bus Riders:

To ensure safety and efficiency, ALL all bus riders must report to the cafeteria for dismissal. Any bus rider who goes outside to wait for their bus will not be allowed to board. We'll continue to remind students of this, but we urge you to reinforce this message at home.

Your cooperation in following these procedures is greatly appreciated, as safety is our utmost priority. By adhering to these guidelines, we can ensure a secure and efficient dismissal process for everyone involved.
