We so enjoyed a nice week spending time outside during recess!

This week we had our first track meet and our CJHS tracksters did great! Here is a link to the results from the Wellington Rocket JH Relays! Please see the pic below for the schedule of events for the JH Boomtown Relays meet on Tuesday!.

7th Grade RLA News

Mrs. Garza's 7th grade students learned about how analogies differ from similes, metaphors, and allusions. They also came up with their own analogies and explained why. Some that were written were-

Coach Slover is my sunshine because she always brightens up my day.

Bears are to caves as horses are to stables. (Explanation- caves are home to bears and stables are home to horses.)

Teacher is to classroom as principal is to school. (Explanation- teachers manage their rooms and the principal manages the school.)
